Overview of a restored Zenith Trans-Oceanic 8G005 Series Radio. The 8G005 series were the first post-WWII Trans-Oceanics. These radios were more electronically complex than the later versions.
You can do it by transmitting your favorite oldies music or radio shows through a Part 15 AM transmitter, such as a Talking House transmitter, to your vintage tube radio. Also if you are in within range of AM 740 out of Toronto, Canada, they broadcast old radio shows and music. I can get it here in VA in the winter after dark. It's a 50K watt station, so pretty powerful.
what a cool old radio, thanks for what you do and for sharing it with us all.
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for the information. I just picked up one at an online auction, going to pick it up tomorrow.
i have a Zenith Trans-oceanic H-500 and a 3000 and they both are awesome radios!
Yes, very nice radios.
Very nice work as always!
Wouldn’t it be neat if you could tune in stations and broadcasts from the past. Contemporary with the radio.
