Too many christians think that what is described in the bible, is prescribed for ALL believers. Thanks to Dr M Heiser, and many others good teachers, I now understand that this isn't so. The bible was written for us, not to us. God bless. The battle is for the minds and hearts of people, we have been commanded to spread the gospel. THIS is what sets people free.
Dr. Heiser collaborated with some actual exorcists that he interviewed multiple times on his podcast named Fern and Audrey who have successfully helped a number of people who have suffered from ritual satanic abuse, or other traumas which sometimes entail attachments with demonic beings. Additionally here on TH-cam you can watch Sean McDowell's interview with Dr. Richard Gallagher a Psychiatrist who works with exorcists to differentiate between psychiatric disorders and demonic manifestations. He offers a lot of evidence indicating the veracity of possession as well as exorcism. It may not fit into one's systematic theology, but you have to do something with the evidence that is all around us. I find it difficult to accept people who have experienced true liberation from demonic attack have had an inauthentic experience.

I believe when we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, then a Christian cannot be possessed, thus no exorcism for the believer. Can a Christian be oppressed, depressed, distracted by evil influence? Sure - the more they focus and give themselves over to such, as their eyes are not on Jesus. However, as for the non-believer, I would vow to say - yes demons can possess them. Whether or not they are delivered is up to God's will, grace and mercy to save them
Amen! What is even more strange, exorsits do not cast out the demons by the name of Jesus but by the name of Mary and the rosary and their "holy" water.
You said that satan could give us power to fight against him basically, which doesn’t make sense since you have used the example of the Gospel of Matthew and later on that verse Jesus talk that Satan cannot cast out Satan because his kingdom would fall. It’s contradictory to your words , I would love you to talk Bob Larson about your view and tell him that his 50,000 exorcisms are all demonic.
That passage is tricky since it is part of the longer ending of Mark, which is highly questioned if it was actually in the original manuscripts. I would encourage you to look into it for yourself to see if you think it’s original but either way I just approach it by acknowledging it without building my entire theology on it (like most Pentecostals do unfortunately)
This was fulfilled in the 1st century during the apostolic age. Today though, we don't have or truly see these signs and wonders. Do you know people drinking deadly poison? Do you know people with the ability to go into a hospital and lay hands on everyone and heal them? We would have these so called heaters clearing entire hospitals and becoming world famous if it were authentic.
I think the explanation is decent but it doesn’t really give clear biblical explanation as to why we shouldn’t. The NT is not clear either way so it is left up for us to decide lovingly without making it a hill to die on. Since spiritual warfare is so prevalent in Scripture, I think all believers should be open to the possibility of deliverance and demonization-related stuff. We should humble ourselves to listen to other brothers and sisters (Derek Prince is a good place to start) who are more experienced in those areas as Bereans. Even if we disagree theologically, I don’t think we should discredit or talk bad about people who are doing good Kingdom work where the name of Jesus is exalted, the kingdom of darkness is pushed back, people find real freedom from demonic oppression, and the gospel is also preached. As a reformed guy, I have benefited greatly from more charismatic voices and would recommend it to anyone🙏🏼

Apparently put on the full armor of God and then try to evangelize the person that's foaming at the mouth.
That’s a good question. I believe you pray over that person and believe that God deliver them.

Mark 16:16-18 Jesus says that casting out demons is one of the signs that accompany those who believe.
