  • Young people in regional, rural and remote areas experience unique challenges. So how can we better involve young people from regional, rural, and remote areas in research?
00:10 - The challenges for young people in regional, rural and remote communities
01:50 - Tips for involved young people from regional, rural and remote communities in your research
This video was developed and led by the Matilda Centre and the PREMISE and Matilda Centre Youth Advisory Board (YAB). This range of range of resources is designed to support researchers and mental health professionals on how to best engage young people in mental health and substance use research.
The YAB is a culturally, linguistically and gender diverse group of 10 members aged 16-25, with representatives from metropolitan, rural, regional and remote areas of Australia. They bring expertise and an interest in mental health and substance use via their own lived experience, that of their families or communities.
