    It's a bummer you had to endure this,dnt let it put you off the bike,I've had mine two year,oil change every 1000mile weather needed or not and mine just turned 11000mile this month with no issues in the time at all.

    Update..... again.
    The bike is still waiting to be repaired...... this time the chain and sprockets need replacing.
    None in the f🤬🤬🤬🤬king country!
    What is the point of a two year warranty if there are no bloody parts in the country?
    There will obviously be a video about this in the coming weeks.
    I will never ever buy a Chinese motorcycle ever again, and I’ll make sure I let as many people know as possible.

      Perhaps Corona Virus and the fact that all manufacturing,shipping and transport links are not functioning normally is the answer to lack of parts.You cant blame the Manufacturer for that... But I do get a broken bike is no good to you either...All Car and Motorbike makers are struggling with this...

      @@paullacey2999 I can blame the manufacturer. Their quality control is utter shit.

      @@sheffielddavemt125adventur3 lmao, you are delusional if you think its only Sinnis that have hard to get parts, my bruv has a KIA and cant get a new headlight for his car, none in the world yet alone this country, loads of cars are struggling to get parts due to the current climate, i had to wait 2 weeks for a new brake cylinder for my Merc, good luck finding a bullet proof bike, ive had loads and all have there own little problems.

    Can’t think of a worst place to break down than on Jenkins Road mate, hope all is sorted!

      Cheers matey. It was zero fun pushing it up Jenkin that’s for sure.
      Update on the repairs.
      As of an hour ago the parts are on their way to the garage.
      Should have it back by the end of next week!

      Yeah my rear bearings exploded at 60mph nearly on the A1.

    Sounds as if the rear wheel axle nut had been over torqued putting too much side pressure on the wheel bearings .When wheel bearings wear & have play ,you can usually detect the bike not handling correct & feel some side play in the wheel . Its unusual for bearings to just collapse without giving plenty of warning a good while before they do .If it wasn’t due to over tightening they must be using some pretty gash quality bearings .Be interested to find out why they collapsed .As I was thinking of buying one of these Terrains to bimble about on .At least it didn’t cause you to have a nasty accident & get injured or worse .You were lucky you weren’t going along at speed .

    • @sheffielddavemt125adventur3
      @sheffielddavemt125adventur3  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was very fortunate to not have been going 50mph that’s for sure.
      The bearings on sinnis, and probably most Chinese built machines are almost certainly the cheapest available.
      The steering head bearings went after 600 miles so I think all the parts come from a bargain bin.
      The first sinnis terrain I had had front wheel bearing issues.
      I noticed more vibrations than usual but nothing horrendous.
      Speaks volumes when you go on the Sinnis parts website and pretty much every bearing and other such parts are sold out.
      The plan when it’s eventually fixed is to keep it until the warranty runs out then get a Yamaha MT 125.
      £2000 more than a Sinnis but I bet it’ll be running in 10 years which I would place money on that anything coming out of China isn’t.
      I will never buy a ‘cheap’ underpowered motorcycle again.
      Shame as I was going to have a look at the 380.
      I’d be a fool to even bother.
      Sinnis were supposed to ring me yesterday.
      I’m glad I didn’t hold my breath....

    A 22mm spanner is only 10" long to avoid overtightening. Has some amateur used a two foot breaker bar with a socket???

    How many miles have you covered up to the breakdown? The service intervals are short enough that the dealer should have spotted something going wrong you would have thought?

    • @sheffielddavemt125adventur3
      @sheffielddavemt125adventur3  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      4000. Yeah I’ve been thinking that.
      I should have spent the extra 2k and bought an MT125.
      Which I’ll buy the second the Sinnis runs out of warranty.
      Thanks for stopping by!

      Spoke to a lovely lady at Sinnis today. The rear wheel bearings collapsed, allowing the hub carrier to literally drill into the swing arm.
      They are waiting on a a replacement swing arm. All other parts, chain, sprocket hub carrier etc they have.
      I’m just glad I wasn’t doing any sort of speed.

  • @sheffielddavemt125adventur3
    @sheffielddavemt125adventur3  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Update.
    The rear wheel bearings have indeed collapsed. Sinnis are fixing it through the warranty.
    The bad news is the swing arm is still in bloody China!
    Yet another reason to never ever buy a Chinese motorcycle ever again.

      Last time I ordered something from the Far East ,it turned out good & cheap .The only problem it came by Chinese Junk boat & several old DC 3 cargo planes & took about 8 weeks to reach my door .

      I agree, Chinese bikes are not half worthy their price tag if you ask me, though some might say they're just as good as the big brands which is laughable. Not to mention the disastrous resale value.

      You must realize most bikes are now built in China, even BMW source some of their GS parts from China, think you where just unlucky, 1000's of these have being sold in the UK, your the first ive seen to have problems
