I push the door to my job interview open with my foot, not wanting to even show the place any respect. I am wearing sunglasses and an untucked and unbuttoned suit. I sit down in the chair and the interviewer has a bewildered look in his eyes, I can sense his fear and intimidation in him. He tries to ask the first question, but all he can get out is "what is your biggest weakne-" before I lean over, put my finger over his lips and whisper "shhhhhh." I lean back, hands behind my head, in my chair, and put my feet up on his desk as I kick away his nametag onto the floor. I can see him trembling, and I seize moment, "enough about me," I sit up and look him dead in the eyes, "why should I work for you?" The interviewer, terrified but desperate, asks "how much money can we pay you?" I smirk, lift my sunglasses up and tell him "I'm not in it for the money" and get up, knocking the chair over in the process, which he immediately rushes to pick up. When he looks up to see what I'm doing next, he finds I'm gone, on my way to my next job interview.
The interviewer looks back at his desk to see a pair of underwear. His wife’s underwear. With a note next to it saying ‘you should keep a better eye on her ;)’
When Big A makes a semi-serious video like this it actually fills me with so much hope for my future. Just watching this genuinely reduced my anxiety around job interviews and makes me feel like I'll be more prepared for them in the future. Same goes for his Marketing Mondays and videos where he talks about his experience in the job market. Good shit.
As a person who just graduated and is literally going through the interview process rn, this video is a banger. Thanks Big A. Btw, just got a job as a middle school math teacher and I’m excited af to help kids learn math is fun!
Ya know big A, I'm looking to become a veterinarian after a few more years of college so all this marketing and job interview advice won't really help me. I still watch because over the past few months you've quickly become one of my favorite creators. Keep it real
i like having the messages at the bottom of the screen!!! good idea quack! also i have to say- great advice atrioc!!! something ive heard my mother say is that its easier to find a job while you have a job :)
A lot of interviewers use the STAR technique, so if you can prepare some stories with that in mind and just dialogue tree choose them you’ll do better than most applicants. Also maintain eye contact, be sure to smile and give concise answers. Speaking as someone who interviewed people.
Boring 5-year answer! When I got interviewed for a retail job and my [future] boss asked me the question that and I just stared at him never releasing eye contact and said: "Your chair looks pretty comfortable". He laughed, I laughed the other interviewer laughed. He hired me on the spot.
Here's a job interview story of mine: As a Mariano's was opening in my town, I thought it would be smart to try out for a job there. Only probable was that I had to take the same interview 5 times as they kept loosing literally all my information. After the 5th interview I was so fed up that in the Mariano's parking lot I called up the restaurant my friend worked at and his boss interviewed me then and there over the phone. I got a job as a cook immediately. It was a clean and very nice small place too, not fast food, and all they wanted was a state food handling licence and to know if I was a good cook. They even allowed me to work extra as both a dishwasher at another location that needed me for a while, as well as a busboy at the main. Worked there for two years until they closed my location due to bankruptcy sadly. (Covid). Also, yes, Mariano's lost my information again, so I was happy I took that other job.
Thank you Mr big A Glizzy Hands Brandon I needed this advice it will save me and allow me to pay child support to my ex wife and fund my alcoholism just like ludwigs dad I’m so happy bless up 🙏
I'm going in for my first job interview in 3 and a half hours, none of this applies yet but i'm trying to get into the mechanical engineering field eventually so it will and it'll be sick to have, plus it helped calm my nerves so thank you Big A (you too for editing Quack)
Unironically helped me. I've got like 90% of the process figured out from past jobs and internships, but now that I'm graduated finding good jobs is hard. Definitely going to apply to more jobs that ask for a few years experience
Legitimately one of the most informative videos Atrioc's released and is still entertaining. It's insanely impressive how Atrioc does it and how hard others will make it
I applied to a job at the local movie theater when I was 18 the summer before uni. They asked me, where do you see yourself in 5 years. I’m like bro! I guess I’ll lie and say “hopefully working here” lol.
I actually was able to use some of what I learned from watching marketing Monday’s and Atrioc’s business content to get a marketing internship in a DC marketing firm! Thanks big A as your content genuinely helped me get the position!
The editor thing works in real life too, just show up and work there what are they gonna do fire you?? You don't even work there lmao. Thats the grindset.
For anyone trying to edit for a streamer: edit the video in the correct resolution. Send them the video in 480p or 720p. Most won’t upload less than 1080p. They won’t yoink it and upload it, but they still get a good idea of your style
that works really well, my friends dad got a job offer with his company's competitor for about a whole 20 dollars more but across the country, talked to their boss about it and didnt get a raise and left to the other company, but he was one of the only people in the company they could do his job. His old company really lost on letting him go
Something I learned basically as soon as I interviewed outside my current job living in a state that doesn't prevent questions of what you currently make, was being willing to just walk away if they asked me that question again or gave me conditional offer of employment and asked me that and refused to take: I don't find my current salary relevant to this conversation, what is more relevant is how my skills match up to your role or something to that effect. It is always a trap to give them your true current salary.
Wow! Actually so insightful. As someone who has done interviews for 5 years (as the interviewer). This man spits facts. I did however just get a job where I asked "I've spent 45 minutes selling myself, let me know why I should be a part of your team." The qualifications part, was spot on. Never get anyone who has all of them. Also sometimes used to let people know why they were unsuccessful if you really don't have one "oh, you didn't meet the 3 years of experience."

I'm not gonna say this just fixed my life(cause it dont lol), but I have some SERIOUS anxiety regarding interviewing and job hunting, and this REALLY lifted some weight of my shoulders. Been struggling with taking the first steps into the work life, as I'm unbelievably done with schools and dont really have enough education to really "qualify" to do anything. This really gave me a push in the right direction. Thanks a lot.
Agreed on that. Going into an interview while having a secure job and not desperately needing one makes you so much more relaxed and actually gives you a better chance of being successful.
Suprised to hear the first good chunk of the video be legit advice but it's always a nice suprise. Anotha one for why Atrioc's community is known to be the most welcoming and funny
A note on the minimums when it comes to experience, he is right on with the "apply anyways" mentality, just make sure you read up on the company and position, then figure out what traditional job experience for that position and field might look like and figure out what skills and experiences someone might take away from the traditional experience, last, you want to look at what you have done and figure out a way to show how you have those same skills or something closely related that makes you just as fit to do the job. You also want to have some idea of what kind of industries and fields you want to work in and then also have an idea of what those jobs generally look for, that way you know long before you ever apply and you can slowly integrate small things into your life that make a better fit for the future job.
This is so bizarre, I literally got my job interview rescheduled for tomorrow and then this video comes out because I can't sleep last minute so I can't see it and not only that but from my favorite youtuber- surreal.
Just got the job I really wanted. Sometimes, luck can play a role. I happened to be the only interview the VP was able to sit in with, as he was traveling the rest of the week. He liked me. I’ll take it!
The number of years experience thing is crazy and *BECAUSE* of this video I applied for a job which was asking for 10 *YEARS* of experience in the field. I had just graduated and so considered college to be potentially 4 years experience so applied anyway. After a lengthy interview process and many calls I was made an offer despite not having the experience they asked for. I didn't take the job but if anyone is looking for employment do NOT be deterred by an experience requirement.
Employer: Where do you see yourself in 5 years Me: hey, listen, this job didn't even exist 5 years ago so who knows where I'll end all I know is that I want to be at the top of my field, and doing well in my work Employer: Sir, teaching has been a profession since before Christ
This made me feel so prepared for the future (currently in college). Would you be willing to make another? Possibly going over how to seek promotions / leadership positions and what interviewers look for, both for management positions and normal employees
I ran to my first interview and didn’t get the job (was in high school and shared a car with my sister, she took it so I had to run 3 miles), I got there five minutes early and didn’t get the job. Went somewhere else for 3 months, got another interview, and then got the job the second time solely because I had then gained that little experience. Now I give my GM shit though for not hiring me the first time.
