Arcane is the MOST EXPENSIVE animated show ever produced in history. It cost a a quarter of a billion dollars to make. That's live action Disney Star Wars money, man. This project is not Japanese animation where the budget fluctuates throughout the production and you end with corner cutting animation as a result. The animation in this show and every choice they made while crafting it was meticulous poured over and thought out. You were probably just joking, but realize that for project of this magnitude, it took everything and the kitchen sink to produce. So, be respectful, man. We aren't likely to ever see a show this well conceived again in our lifetime. And after 3 years I'm not sure if you guys have figured this out yet, but there are only 8 characters from that game in this show. It was specifically written not to need League of Legends as crutch or primer to evolve. So, no. That enforcer that Vi met, Loris, IS NOT in the game. Neither is Maddie or Elora or Amara or Cassandra or Shoola or 3/4 of the rest of the cast. The show was written to be for everyone, not just people who play that game. So, it is not populated with a ton of the champions from it. The show wouldn't make any sense or work if they did that, especially since most people from that game aren't from this city-state. Your safe boys, it was written to include, not to ostracize. Also consider this. Jinx is LITERALLY the ONLY person that attacked Piltover. No one else from the Undercity at that time. So, the notion that they would go in the way Councilman Salo suggested would have been wild work. Now that Renni came down there on her hit mission for Jayce it makes more sense to go in there in force. But this combat unit that Caitlyn put together in and of itself is not the full brunt of Piltover's enforcement might.

the black and white caitlyn sequence at the beginning that mason quinn said was to "save on animation costs" was actually done with charcoal! a notoriously difficult medium to work with and one of the hardest materials to animate with due to how long it takes and how easy it is to mess up your page. i love that the team at fortiche put so much love into this series
I'm a texture artist and I was floored, looked amazing. And charcoal gives guy such a different feeling than colors, you kinda fill in the blanks like reading a book. The song was beautiful too, now I got another great soundtrack to listen to,
Of all the reactions that I've seen, no one remembers Singed, although he played one of the most important roles in the first season, created shimer, cured Jinx and helped Victor.

That's.. very weird. Every scene he was in brought something new. His interactions with Victor with the big lizard thing there. And the jinx scene especially. How could they forget him 😅
The individual with the gas at the end is called "Singed". He's the same doctor that was in the first episode, that developed Shimmer originally, helped Victor, and performed the procedure on Jinx. He was horribly burned by the explosion that Jinx caused in S1 E3 though, one might even say he was "Singed". So you may understandably mistake him for a different character. So far as I can remember every instance of a Zaunite Doctor we've seen so far has been Singed.
Honestly, I'm one of those ppl that dislike him, BUT i can clearly see how well rounded he is in everything. Like he has my respect for how many skills hes good at, my only problem is that he's a bit confused on where he stands with his morals and convictions @@clover2739

This show is a work of art, but the character building is insane, I can only give a standing ovation to the writers of the two seasons because, so far, Arcane has proven to be one of the best tv shows of all time.
The best theory floating around as to why Mel and Jayce survived the blast is that Mel is wearing Solari armor. If true then a shield activated, hinted by the glow right before the warhead hit.
@@quizzlybearlike they froze in place invulnerable to dmg for a few seconds? That would explain why any of them remember what happened bc if it was an actual shield Jayce would see it and know how they survived. You might be onto something here lol
I'm actually glad they're only doing 2 seasons for this story. Allows them to tell the story they wanted to tell for these characters without the risk of being canceled before it can be completed or without too much TV company interference. 💜
My only complaint is, these episodes are VERY rushed. Why not just tell this story in 3 seasons and you don't have to move along at such a ridiculous pace?
@lockekappa500 Because that's just how fast things would go in a situation like this. The 1st season didn't move as quickly in the beginning because it was getting to know the characters and the setting they were in, we know the characters and the world now.
The guy at the end was the same doctor who invented Shimmer, Mentored Viktor when he was little, and turned Jinx into what she is today, saving her life in the process. It appears he may be on a little quest of his own now and it involves the Murk wolves that he just tracked and found. As you keep watching the episodes, you'll realize what the purpose of this is. The doctor has a name but I personally think no one knows his TRUE name..."Singed"
I love how they have put soooo much into this the art is peak the story line is the same so amazing I feel like they have listened to what viewers actually want and gave us much more I'll be re-watching this before the next episodes come out. Ya that guy at the end with the wolves was Silco's scientist who created the purple shimmer. Same guy that saved Jinx after he blew herself up and same guy that Viktor visited with the yellow lizard when he was a kid
I loved the council in this episode and how they demonstrated, specifically Mel and Cait, have the ability to be levelheaded, strategic, conscious, and efficient in their response to the attacks. Even in the attack at the memorial they remained very calm and disciplined. I can truly see how Mel is considered a diplomatic prodigy. Also, I think they actually landed on the most reasonable and fair plan in the end of not leading a full on invasion as well as not drawing out a war using weak weaponry or complete nonreactivity, but instead sending a small elite and highly powerful task force that can efficiently resolve the nuanced problems they are facing without having any civilian casualties as well as having Vi there as a controlling party to prevent Caitlyn from being unhinged as well as being able to guide her through the underground. The plan just is very well thought out and the best they can do.
I clicked so fast!! I'm so ready to watch S2 with y'all :) Btw, I've never played the game at all so no spoilers at all here, but I'm pretty sure the guy at the very end IS Singed, the doc from S1. The same doc that made Shimmer in Silco's lab in like episode 1, and the same guy that kinda mentored Viktor when he was a kid. Also, I think it's implied that the mutation thing was forcefully being kept alive by the doc was because they were extracting/harvesting Shimmer from its body. I'm not sure if this is really true or not, that was just my interpretation from what was shown in S1 (esp bc it has a similar purple color). For anyone that knows the truth, no spoilers please haha. Anyway, I literally watched S1 with my jaw dropped. Cait's grief made me want to cry. And it's interesting that now Vi & Cait mirror each other in the sense that each has had their parent(s) killed by the other side. I'm so intrigued to see how everything unfolds.
I can't even express, how much i feel the pain in caitlynn's voice, when she said "i want to tear that laugh from her throat forever". The voice actress did such an amazing job, but not just from her. Every VA is incredible!! I am actually afraid, where act two and three will bring us
One of my favourite thing about this show is how they never shy away from using different art style/medium to express emotions. Kudos to the Arcane team on that! One can surely pay them well but it still needs heart, soul and endearing passion to create something like this.
I feel it's worth noting for fans of the show that don't play the game. Riot has canonically killed a champion before. They then disabled the champion in game for a while too. So just because a character is a champion doesn't make them immortal, I could easily see them killing a champion this season.

the old Enforcer's name is Loris and is not a character in League but will be coming to TFT. Silco is gone, but singed the scientist is still around which is who you see in the end. What you see in the cave is a two headed Murk wolf.
Just a few minutes in and i almost teared up seeing caitlyn's face at 2:36 when they were closing the casket. Like when you lose a loved one and you try to cherish the final glimpse of their face. They captured that perfectly.
Guy hunting the Wolves at the end was 'Singed', we see him in Season 1, producing the first batch of Shimmer for Silco, then he gets caught in Powders explosion at the Warehouse, then, helping Viktor (and experimenting on that Axolotl creature) and finally, he's the one who 'saved' Jinx after the bridge fight.
The individual on the last scene is the scientist in s1ep1 who fed the rat the shimmer. he's the same as the "doctor" who saved jinx after the fight with ekko. they're the same person, there's no 2 scientist with silco. he's also the one on viktor's flashbacks inside the cave.
"My mother's entered the game" - I love how they gave Mel that line before Ambessa became a playable champ in League. I can't wait to see Mel next year.

The thing is, is that only the higher ups, important people of piltover, are attacked by zaunites. While piltover kills every zaunite with no consequence.
Just like how the fight with Ekko and Powder on the bridge blow our minds with the animation in Season 1. Episode 3 of this season (so far) will blow your minds with the animations.
This is what you asked for...Heavy is the crown... You should definitely check out the actual song from Linkin Park. There's also a fan-made extended version of the epic bit we hear in Arcane itself. Also worth checking out.
the name of the guy at the end is Singed and he's the one who invented Shimmer with Silco, we see him experimenting with it in act 1 of season 1, he gets caught in the blast of Powder's bomb at the end of episode 3 of season 1 and gets scarred but he survives. He's still being a mad scientist and working with Silco in the rest of season 1, and we find out that Viktor knew him as a child, Viktor stumbles on a cave where Singed was keeping Rio, a weird kinda cute salamander thing and he tells Viktor that Rio is dying and he's trying to prevent it because "the mutation must survive" and he offers to have Viktor help him keep Rio alive, but later on Viktor discovered Singed is doing messed up things to Rio to make sure she survives and he runs away. Then later when viktor is older and desperate to figure out how to make the hexcore work he returns to Singed seeking advice and we see Rio in a tank, and Viktor says he understands now. After consulting Singed, he gives Viktor a variant of Shimmer then Viktor uses it with the hexcore and it gives him his weird hextech leg and turns the hexcore all purple and gooey. It was also during this time that Singed revealed that he used to work with Heimerdinger. We later see Singed again after Jinx and Ekko fight on the bridge and she sets off a bomb in both of their faces and she's near death and Silco rushes to Singed and asks him to save Jinx and it's a pretty intense experience for Jinx and she comes out of it even more deranged and now infused with shimmer which makes her stronger and faster and right after he saves her is when Jinx kidnaps Cait and the whole final episode of last season happens.
Yeah when a nation goes into urban warfare amidst civilians with an unrestricted, unlimited response with no goal beyond turning everything to glass you just end up with atrocities that only serve to radicalize even more people against you then you started with. There's a pretty horrific and stark example of that exact thing happening in the world right now. Proportional response is a crucial aspect of conflict for a reason. Trying to force a simple solution to a complex problem only ever results in creating multitudes more problems.
This was a show made by people who didn’t care about profit, but about making a damn good story. I can’t think of anything I don’t like about this show. I’m so excited!! ❤
The thing is, I don’t like comparing trauma, Caitlin losing her mom and Vi losing her parents both suck, a lot. However, Caitlin saying that she understands how Vi feels isn’t true/fair. She is asking Vi to join a part of the government that she knows is the reason her parents are dead and a lot of enforcers haven’t helped making their image look better than that (like Marcus form season 1 working with Silco) but the only way Caitlin would fully know how it felt for Vi to be asked to be an enforcer is if after the death of her mom Vi still asked Caitlin to join her and be on Jinx’s side. Which she didn’t do.. at all.

i think at the end of this epoide your talking about sigard, he is the evil scientist dude with sliko, he survived the explosion in ep 3 s1, and you see him in vitkors flashbacks and saved jynk's life, there isnt a 3rd player that looks like sigard and silko, unless you mean those hencemen, but yea sigard is cooking something up! and we are only getting sneak peaks of it so far.
The guy in the end is singed, he’s in the first season. He was with Silco creating the shimmer, he was burned in the lab. We see him again with the flashback of young Viktor, then Viktor goes to him again and Singed has the conversation of ‘the mutation must stay alive’ and he gives Viktor the shimmer. He’s also the one who saves jinx remember? When jinx and ekko fight and jinx drops the bomb and then Silco takes her to singed to save her and he injects her with shimmer, he also injects Silco to put him to sleep while he does this. We also see him at the end of season 1 when jinx is going to send that missile to the council. We see him with some kind of monster in his lab. None of this is spoilers, it’s just a character you’d probably remember if you watched it again
I was nervous about a drop in quality from season 1 to season 2, as season 1 set the standard incredibly high and I'm used to being disappointed. I couldn't be more happy to be wrong!!! I love how fresh and well-crafted the first three episodes are. This creative team didn't miss a beat.

There is just so many details in the show and it kind of throws you right in, which is why I rewatched the first season leading up to this coming out
Hextech is also not a nuke, it's very capable of doing very precise work. They should work on that ability, to do precision operation, take out only those who are too cruel, too much of terror. If they want to be able to not turn away from virtue, they will set a debt brake to the bad they will do. Say that right now we're too weak to stay fully on principle, but we make sure that martial law will end, and we will return to order. And having a plan on how to do it. America does it by seperating its military into 3, all of them seperately loyal to the government, in addition to a police force.
The two scientists that you seem to be confused about, the one in the cave and the one that worked for Silco are the same person, your meant to realize this immediately when you see them in season 1, his identity is not a spoiler you're meant to already know.
I think its implied that the big shield guy is related to a council member that died but im just guessing. He's drinking a lot and his first question to Vi is if she lost someone in the attack when she drinks.

While I know of League of Legends, I’ve never played the game but I have seen their music videos for DLCs and new seasons; so seeing the music video breaks in the episodes doesn’t seem out of place at all.
Crazy to think arcane is just touching the tip of the League of Legends iceberg. There are so many characters and stories that would be amazing if animated by Fortiche (the animation studios for arcane.) I personally want a movie about Aatrox.
Anyone that ever played the game, knew from season 1 episode one that Vi would put on the badge. Caytlin's nickname in the game is: The piltover peacemaker Vi's nickname in the game is: The piltover enforcer But man that "reveal" was spectacular. Along with Caytlin's iconic hextech enhanced sniper rifle.
I can almost guarantee there will be "more seasons" of arcane it just wont be the Jinx/Vi storyline. League of legneds has over 150 heros so riot games can easily make 10+ storylines of 2-3 seasons each storyline

I loved the council in this episode and how they demonstrated, specifically Mel and Cait, have the ability to be levelheaded, strategic, conscious, and efficient in their response to the attacks. Even in the attack at the memorial they remained very calm and disciplined. I can truly see how Mel is considered a diplomatic prodigy. Also, I think they actually landed on the most reasonable and fair plan in the end of not leading a full on invasion as well as not drawing out a war using weak weaponry or complete nonreactivity, but instead sending a small elite and highly powerful task force that can efficiently resolve the nuanced problems they are facing without having any civilian casualties as well as having Vi there as a controlling party to prevent Caitlyn from being unhinged as well as being able to guide her through the underground. The plan just is very well thought out and the best they can do.

I clicked so fast!! I'm so ready to watch S2 with y'all :) Btw, I've never played the game at all so no spoilers at all here, but I'm pretty sure the guy at the very end IS Singed, the doc from S1. The same doc that made Shimmer in Silco's lab in like episode 1, and the same guy that kinda mentored Viktor when he was a kid. Also, I think it's implied that the mutation thing was forcefully being kept alive by the doc was because they were extracting/harvesting Shimmer from its body. I'm not sure if this is really true or not, that was just my interpretation from what was shown in S1 (esp bc it has a similar purple color). For anyone that knows the truth, no spoilers please haha.
Anyway, I literally watched S1 with my jaw dropped. Cait's grief made me want to cry. And it's interesting that now Vi & Cait mirror each other in the sense that each has had their parent(s) killed by the other side. I'm so intrigued to see how everything unfolds.
5:13 I like how in this shot, both Caitlyn and Vi share the frame but after the offer, Vi takes a few steps and now there's a barrier between them
I can't even express, how much i feel the pain in caitlynn's voice, when she said "i want to tear that laugh from her throat forever". The voice actress did such an amazing job, but not just from her. Every VA is incredible!!

This show never ceases to blow my mind. It's absolutely fantastic, on every level!
One of my favourite thing about this show is how they never shy away from using different art style/medium to express emotions. Kudos to the Arcane team on that! One can surely pay them well but it still needs heart, soul and endearing passion to create something like this.
I feel it's worth noting for fans of the show that don't play the game. Riot has canonically killed a champion before. They then disabled the champion in game for a while too. So just because a character is a champion doesn't make them immortal, I could easily see them killing a champion this season.

the old Enforcer's name is Loris and is not a character in League but will be coming to TFT. Silco is gone, but singed the scientist is still around which is who you see in the end. What you see in the cave is a two headed Murk wolf.

Just a few minutes in and i almost teared up seeing caitlyn's face at 2:36 when they were closing the casket. Like when you lose a loved one and you try to cherish the final glimpse of their face. They captured that perfectly.

Guy hunting the Wolves at the end was 'Singed', we see him in Season 1, producing the first batch of Shimmer for Silco, then he gets caught in Powders explosion at the Warehouse, then, helping Viktor (and experimenting on that Axolotl creature) and finally, he's the one who 'saved' Jinx after the bridge fight.
This show is pure art! Arcane reminds me of the standards I should hold other shows to in terms of plot, character development, themes, etc.
The individual on the last scene is the scientist in s1ep1 who fed the rat the shimmer. he's the same as the "doctor" who saved jinx after the fight with ekko. they're the same person, there's no 2 scientist with silco. he's also the one on viktor's flashbacks inside the cave.
"My mother's entered the game" - I love how they gave Mel that line before Ambessa became a playable champ in League. I can't wait to see Mel next year.

Just like how the fight with Ekko and Powder on the bridge blow our minds with the animation in Season 1. Episode 3 of this season (so far) will blow your minds with the animations.

the name of the guy at the end is Singed and he's the one who invented Shimmer with Silco, we see him experimenting with it in act 1 of season 1, he gets caught in the blast of Powder's bomb at the end of episode 3 of season 1 and gets scarred but he survives. He's still being a mad scientist and working with Silco in the rest of season 1, and we find out that Viktor knew him as a child, Viktor stumbles on a cave where Singed was keeping Rio, a weird kinda cute salamander thing and he tells Viktor that Rio is dying and he's trying to prevent it because "the mutation must survive" and he offers to have Viktor help him keep Rio alive, but later on Viktor discovered Singed is doing messed up things to Rio to make sure she survives and he runs away. Then later when viktor is older and desperate to figure out how to make the hexcore work he returns to Singed seeking advice and we see Rio in a tank, and Viktor says he understands now. After consulting Singed, he gives Viktor a variant of Shimmer then Viktor uses it with the hexcore and it gives him his weird hextech leg and turns the hexcore all purple and gooey. It was also during this time that Singed revealed that he used to work with Heimerdinger. We later see Singed again after Jinx and Ekko fight on the bridge and she sets off a bomb in both of their faces and she's near death and Silco rushes to Singed and asks him to save Jinx and it's a pretty intense experience for Jinx and she comes out of it even more deranged and now infused with shimmer which makes her stronger and faster and right after he saves her is when Jinx kidnaps Cait and the whole final episode of last season happens.
Yeah when a nation goes into urban warfare amidst civilians with an unrestricted, unlimited response with no goal beyond turning everything to glass you just end up with atrocities that only serve to radicalize even more people against you then you started with. There's a pretty horrific and stark example of that exact thing happening in the world right now. Proportional response is a crucial aspect of conflict for a reason. Trying to force a simple solution to a complex problem only ever results in creating multitudes more problems.

This was a show made by people who didn’t care about profit, but about making a damn good story. I can’t think of anything I don’t like about this show. I’m so excited!! ❤
The thing is, I don’t like comparing trauma, Caitlin losing her mom and Vi losing her parents both suck, a lot. However, Caitlin saying that she understands how Vi feels isn’t true/fair. She is asking Vi to join a part of the government that she knows is the reason her parents are dead and a lot of enforcers haven’t helped making their image look better than that (like Marcus form season 1 working with Silco) but the only way Caitlin would fully know how it felt for Vi to be asked to be an enforcer is if after the death of her mom Vi still asked Caitlin to join her and be on Jinx’s side. Which she didn’t do.. at all.

i think at the end of this epoide your talking about sigard, he is the evil scientist dude with sliko, he survived the explosion in ep 3 s1, and you see him in vitkors flashbacks and saved jynk's life, there isnt a 3rd player that looks like sigard and silko, unless you mean those hencemen, but yea sigard is cooking something up! and we are only getting sneak peaks of it so far.

The guy in the end is singed, he’s in the first season. He was with Silco creating the shimmer, he was burned in the lab.
We see him again with the flashback of young Viktor, then Viktor goes to him again and Singed has the conversation of ‘the mutation must stay alive’ and he gives Viktor the shimmer.
He’s also the one who saves jinx remember? When jinx and ekko fight and jinx drops the bomb and then Silco takes her to singed to save her and he injects her with shimmer, he also injects Silco to put him to sleep while he does this.
We also see him at the end of season 1 when jinx is going to send that missile to the council. We see him with some kind of monster in his lab.
None of this is spoilers, it’s just a character you’d probably remember if you watched it again
I was nervous about a drop in quality from season 1 to season 2, as season 1 set the standard incredibly high and I'm used to being disappointed. I couldn't be more happy to be wrong!!! I love how fresh and well-crafted the first three episodes are. This creative team didn't miss a beat.

Also the woman who is that boys mother that went to kill Jayce is a character we meet a couple of times in the first season and we know that’s her son. This is no hate to you! There is just so many details in the show and it kind of throws you right in, which is why I rewatched the first season leading up to this coming out

They should work on that ability, to do precision operation, take out only those who are too cruel, too much of terror.
If they want to be able to not turn away from virtue, they will set a debt brake to the bad they will do. Say that right now we're too weak to stay fully on principle, but we make sure that martial law will end, and we will return to order. And having a plan on how to do it.

The two scientists that you seem to be confused about, the one in the cave and the one that worked for Silco are the same person, your meant to realize this immediately when you see them in season 1, his identity is not a spoiler you're meant to already know.
I think its implied that the big shield guy is related to a council member that died but im just guessing. He's drinking a lot and his first question to Vi is if she lost someone in the attack when she drinks.
I don't know. I feel like he is a veteran with PTSD. Maybe someone who participated in the battle on the bridge that killed Vi's parents.

The same with Singed, he was prominent in S1 and he's the one who "shimmered" Jinx, you don't need to act like he's a new character.
While I know of League of Legends, I’ve never played the game but I have seen their music videos for DLCs and new seasons; so seeing the music video breaks in the episodes doesn’t seem out of place at all.
Crazy to think arcane is just touching the tip of the League of Legends iceberg. There are so many characters and stories that would be amazing if animated by Fortiche (the animation studios for arcane.) I personally want a movie about Aatrox.

I can almost guarantee there will be "more seasons" of arcane it just wont be the Jinx/Vi storyline. League of legneds has over 150 heros so riot games can easily make 10+ storylines of 2-3 seasons each storyline
