Great overview. I have Iridium Core sitting on my studio desk where I can access it so easily. It's my favourite hardware synth... so lovely to program and just endless depth. A real sound designer's dream.
The iridium sounds freakin awesome. As someone from a church background, I can't understand why you barely see these used for live performances, especially in houses of worship.
I also love the Iridium, and everything you say is true, I think. I do have to say that I encounter digital clicking noises quite regularly, which does not hurt if you are after sounds with strong transients anyway, but with softer sounds it can be quite annoying. This does happen with factory presets and I have not yet found a way to avoid it. But otherwise, yes, an exceptional synth.
I just got a core and you're right the swing is solid (as is the sync) .... build quality is exellent but i do find that while knobs are super high quality , the encoders around the screen are on the woobly side , don't you think so ? Was hesitating between this and a prophet 12 and a digitone 2 ... (witchg is more limited but more a composition tolls than a sound generation one)
Iridium owner here. It is a fabulous synth, but where is the VST to control the synth from a computer? The preset management approach is antiquated as updates are cumbersome. Like the Korg Wavestate, we would benefit significantly from a computer interface. Just make it available to hardware owners, so you don't cannibalize the market share of your product line. Otherwise, good build, good sound, worth the money and the rest. It is fabulous. Kevin Schroeder is my favorite sound designer for the Iridium.
I've got the Iridium Desktop last week. I'm so happy with. I special love the workflow. The synth as its own is so complex but no complicated
Couldn't agree more!

I own the Quantum Mk2 for a month now, long term review in 2025, but I love what you do with Iridium!
Love my iridium keys, thanks for sharing real user info and experience. I really have no complaints about it. My favorite for sure.

My encoders are rock solid as well. I think you made a good choice.
The Quantum not only has more keys, it also has a bigger screen and many more knobs.

Good to hear, will check into this presets!
Great video. This beast really needs an auto value for the midi clock, i hate to change between internal and external clock.
Love mine! 👍
