He's correct about the Jamaican confidence. I'm originally from Trinidad, and I remembered there were student protest at UWI, the police came and all the students left but for the Jamaicans who stayed to fight with the police. Everyone else was like 'what the hell?'

This is a true culturally inclusive anime. It has clean graphics. Ready for production. I hope the fights against various Jamaican puppies are brutal. I would pay money to see this

    Dear Filmmaker,
We deeply appreciate the dedication and commitment you've shown in representing Jamaican culture through your work. It's crucial to us that our culture is showcased with the utmost respect and quality. Unfortunately, there is a matter we'd like to discuss, one that pertains to the language used to refer to the grandmother character as having a "Fat pum pum."
While we understand that humor has played a significant role in your popularity, we must consider the broader cultural implications. In Jamaican spirituality, there are individuals who serve as protectors of our cultural heritage, and for them, this language doesn't resonate positively. It's important to note that in our music and literature, the term "grandmother" has never been associated with "Fat Pum-Pum."
As a fellow spiritual Jamaican and as someone who holds the honor of their grandmother dear, I must emphasize the need to reconsider this aspect of your portrayal. Our elders carry profound significance in our culture, and they serve as a vital representation of our heritage. We, as Garveyites, hold our culture in the highest esteem, especially when it's being presented to the world by outsiders.
Considering that your work has gained popularity through humor and satire, we urge you to think about the long-term impact. For the upcoming generation, the language used in your portrayal of a grandmother with a "Fat pum pum" is not the kind of representation we wish for our culture in Jamaica. While some might overlook this issue, we believe that content and storytelling carry immense importance.
We kindly request that you address this matter promptly. In the mountains, discussions are already taking place concerning this language, reflecting the seriousness of the issue. Given the spiritual challenges our country faces, any content related to our elders and our spiritual heritage must be of the highest quality.
We understand that social media has its eyes on us, and for the sake of the next generation, it's imperative that you make these minor adjustments. Portraying a cartoon character or making jokes about a grandmother with a "Fat pum pum" has no place in our language or culture. We hold our elders and, especially, our grandmothers in the highest regard, and we cannot allow any artistic expression or film to tarnish their honor or pass on inappropriate information to our children.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making these necessary adjustments not only in your trailer but also in your future films. This gesture would mean a lot to us and would contribute to the preservation of the cultural integrity we hold dear.
Thank you for your attention and consideration.

Thank you for your wonderful comment. I completely understand and respect your request for the protection of your culture, traditions, and spirituality, especially concerning how the art is presented, particularly when it comes from someone researching it rather than living it.
I'm glad you are able see that the crude and inappropriate joke only appeared briefly in the end of the trailer. The rest of the trailer reflects the true essence of the story.
I included that joke only as a reference to the TikTok video that initially inspired this entire project. I want to reassure you that despite the fantasy fiction elements in the project, there won't be any more sexually inappropriate jokes.
As a 6th Generation Vincentian (mix of Portuguese, Scottish, Congolese & Western Bantu) I have a deep affection for West Indian culture, and I have a beloved West Indian grandmother. The only reason the character in the story is portrayed as a grandmother is because he was trapped in the silk cotton tree portal since 1964 and didn't age. At that time, she was a 25-year-old woman.
Regardless of this backstory, I promise to show utmost respect and admiration for the culture. I want to emphasize that a Jamaican writer is also involved in the project. Additionally, I have a daughter who was born in the Caribbean, and I will ensure that the project is created with the utmost respect and appropriate for the 13+ rated audience that it’s intended for.
Thank you for your wonderful comment and your support. I assure you that this project will be a fantastic work of fantasy fiction inspired by the rich and beautiful culture of Jamaica and the shared West Indian traditions we all cherish.
