  • Getting to Mauban, you will have to ride a bus from Manila bound to Lucena City, the capital of Quezon Province. The last bus stop would be Lucena's Grand Terminal, and from there you will have to ride another bus bound to the town of Mauban. The scenery along the way would be typical of any rural towns in the country. Since Quezon Province is composed of valleys and mountains, it common to see terrace fields, but not too steep as compared to the ones in Benguet. The main crop planted in these fields is rice, but it is also common to see vegetable farms.

My family is scouting for a peaceful, quaint, unpretentious, clean, and folksy small town south of Manila - and your vlog just planted in us the desire to retire there in clean Mauban.

To make Mauban a city by 2040, we need larger populations, more employment opportunities, more investments or investors both local, and foreign, more visionary local government officials and politicians and creative professionals and the support of the local people. First of all unity and positive mindsets of all politicians and Maubanin themselves asap! Maubanin people are divided by being negative and positive. Mostly negative and very taciturn. The common expression: 'AY AWAN!' Since 2017, I've been writing about the proposed cityhood of Mauban but still unfinished yet because of some foreseen impediments, etc. I have mentioned a number of times to fellow Maubanin about this but there was no thrill at all, but other people in the neighbouring towns of Quezon are excited and interested a bit!
