Yes, often I had these kind of problems with the early bishop on f5 or g4 and was not sure how to respond. This is a good example on how to switch from Colle to some other game plan. Thanks a lot!
Ya, there's two back up plans I usually have in the Colle! This one is more usual at the lower levels as moving the bishop out early isn't really good from the opponent
@ hopefully we will see in a future episode since it’s a little hard to explain but generally I put the bishop on f4, bishop on e2, and put pawns on c4 and d4 where you have a really easy position to play
Glad to see you back posting again, love your system Colle Z and Philidor for Blk. I noticed on this game you missed a clear win of the opponents Queen. I think at time stamp 6:41 your opponent moved the black bishop from E7 to F6. The winning move for you is Your bishop A5 takes the knight on D8. Black can't capture the Bishop because Black's Queen has limited space, so even if Rook on A8 takes the Bishop you have Rook B2-B7, Queen moves then Knight C4 moves to B6 and the Queen is trapped.
Please, do a blitz speedrun because we can have more examples of how you handle different types of positions, that would be incredibly useful. I'm happy you're back with the videos. I don't have time to study chess, and it takes the pleasure away of playing and not being able to maintain the same level. To see these type of openings where is much more about the understanding of the position is really useful. I hope you have a great week.
@@SLChessDevelopment But after pawn b3 et Bd3, Black will be able to play Bishop to g4. Blacks seem to be better than in the main line of Colle-Zukertort, isn't?
I like Philidor defence which you explain very well. Your games on this defence.
Very nice Videos....Please play the colle Koltanowski (c3)...Thanks David
not my favourite variation, a little too drawish!

@@SLChessDevelopment The second problem for my Colle is g6 pawn situation and bishop to g7. What to do in that case?

@@SLChessDevelopment so what is the game plan for early bf5 after going c5?

Thank you for the really kind words :) I will continue making these!
Nioce. Exactly the thing i wanted to know more about. Too bad the light square bishop went insane early on.
You’ll like tomorrows video then :)
thanks Ive been trying to learn colle recently
Happy to help!
And here I am with my own "homebrew" anti colle curtesy of the guy at my chess club who only plays the colle making me study such things. 😂
:P
I will never understand why somebody will exchange a beautifully developed bishop for a knight that is still on its original square.
No clue man, 1700s are weird
Thank you for this nice video. What do you recommend to play against 1. d4 d5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. e3 c5 ?
Pawn b3 immediately so that if you play Bd3 pawn c4 doesn’t mess with it!
