It is not really a school, it is a place you go for a few days with your class for an excursion, before you go back to your "normal" school. In Norwegian it is called "leirskole" - "campschool".

Ich komme aus Norwegen und hab' einem Austauschjahr in Braunschweig gemacht - mir hat's spass gemacht zu verstehen beides was ihr auf Deutsch gesagt habe, und was Max und die Kindern aus Norwegische sagte :D
It was such an interesting episode. We don't have anything like that in my country, but I find learning in nature really cool and more effective than just the textbooks. Kids should learn more practical things and spend more time in the nature to see how things work and live a real life, not online all the time.
To my knowledge, in British Columbia, Canada we don't have entire schools devoted to outdoor skills. But we do have a class you can take in high school called Outdoor Education, it is for a semester and most of their time is spent outdoors. Rockclimbing, skiing, hiking, walking, and so on. My friend really likes it:)

Ich verstehe nicht, warum skandinavische Städte bunte Gebäude haben. Ein Gebäude ist rot, ein anderes ist blau, ein anderes ist gelb usw. Skandinavien hat all diese bunten kleinen Holzhäuser an der Küste und ich weiß nicht warum.

ja ja, men fremmedspråk undervisingen i dette landet er dritt så vi burde heller gjøre det til et valgfag på barneskolen når hjernene våre er mer fleksible. hvis du hadde lært deg grunnleggende tysk på barneskolen ville du ha hatt en generell forståelse for språket og det ville virket som en mer naturlig del av hverdagen din å bruke tysk. saken er at lærerne ikke skaper interesse når det gjelder fremmedspråk og at man sjeldent bruket språket i undervisningen hvorav meste parten av konseptene er forklart på norsk. seff må man kunne ha litt norsk også, men jeg mener det viktigste er å snakke språket ingen i tyskland kommer til å bli fly forbanna om du ofte bruker feil artikkel, de vil heller sette pris på at du faktisk duger til å ha en samtale med isteden for å være dritt redd for "oh shit, var det riktig ord, gjorde jeg en grammatikk feil nå?"
summa summarum: fremmedspråk være et valgfag på barneskolen mellom f.eks kunst og håndverk eller mat og helse.
