Nothing better than being a kid in elementary school in the early 90’s, on summer break, going to Geauga Lake during the day and walking across that boardwalk to see the Sea World laser light show at night….then playing Sega and Super Nintendo the next day with my brother and sister. Those days were pure gold…..
Started going to Sea World and Geauga Lake back in the early 80's. As a child, Sea World was more fun because I was too short for most Geauga rides. Once big enough, Geauga took over. And the combination of both later was too late but enjoyable and very tiring, lol. One of my most vivid memories from Sea World was in 84-85. My mother, her best friend and I went to Sea World, and at some point we went to the pearl diving spot. My mom's friend paid to get an oyster and the pearl that would be found inside. Her diver came up with two oysters and my mom's friend asked me to pick one. The one I picked ended up having a pink pearl and a pretty good size. Enough that Sea World actually offered her to buy it on the spot. She turned them down and kept it. Sadly we'd lose her in 1987 after her fight with cancer. Don't know what happened to that pearl, but the memory of that day will live forever with me.
I can't believe it .I didn't even know it was closed.i grew up in the seventies been here many times I grew up I took my daughter here wow I can't believe it. Thanks for showing although it bought me tears but also memories I will never forget.
I too was a Geauga Lake Kid, but when they bought Sea World, I did spend some time over there. Mostly just going to Mission Bermuda Triangle and Pirates 4D. This makes me really sad to see it in this state. Thanks for making this video and showing us.
@VonSnootingham, you are very welcome! I loved the Bermuda Triangle ride, I was always so amazed by the movement. The Pirates 4D scared me at first because of that Bee Scene if you remember. I got over it in the later years :)
Double loop. Raging Wolf Bobs. The Rotor. I-max 180 dome screen. I miss this park so much. Plus a water park and a Sea World across the lake. Lots of childhood memories 🤘
Very cool. Beautiful tour and many fond memories. Your narration was very enjoyable and really added some unique and sentimental value to the tour. Thanks again! I'm now a new subs river.
I remember going there when I was little. Petting the dolphins and fishing in the trout pond. LOL , cost my pops a lot for 5 fish. He wasn’t happy. I think it was around 1975 or so when I was there.
Many memories from Sea world and Geauga lake. The animal shows were always great but the one thing I hated seeing was how and where the animals were kept. To me it was sad seeing the beautiful killer whales kept in those small pools.
Great video!!! But I’m so disappointed!! You stopped right where Shamu’s tank used to be. In all the Sea World videos, no one seems to show where the big tank used to be. I know they knocked down all the cement and filled in the pools but I would just like to see an over view of the area. You were so close…..😢. The wave pool area used to be the where the Seymour walrus show was at. They cleared the area and put the wave pool in. Shamu area was right after the Seymour walrus area. The water skiing area is sad to see. There used to be sand where the grass is now. The small buoy in the water was where the ramp was. The water skiers would jump the ramp during the show. The other larger buoys is where they would have a large staging area for the boats to hide behind as the commentator would read whatever story was being told that summer. I enjoyed your video as I have many fond memories of Sea World in Ohio. Thank you for posting your video.

🎵 Come to Geauga Lake. Oh what a place take your family, or sweetie to meet Geauga DOG! $9.95 still the all-day price for all that is seeet and nice. All that goes on at Geauga Lake is HERE. So put on your funnest face and take it to the funnest place, and let yourself GO!! You gotta make Geauga Lake this year! 🎵
Wow! I would think The stagnant canals would bring so many mosquitoes. Perhaps bring this as a concern to your local council. If a young rebel kid jumps the fence (would be me as a kid) and drowns then somebody has to sue somebody, with loss of life. Or do this video, add music, infiltrate old photos you can gather from the community. You could do a lot with this, young sir!!!❤
I just had another thought, perhaps the community coul be allowed in to place goldfish which eat mosquito larvae🤷🏻♀️ seems like such a waste. I would definitely be sneaking in there as a kid- teen, or even the old person i have become! thx
It went from Sea World/ Geauga Lake, then was made into 6 Flags. Then this guy from China bought the park and closed it down for tax purposes. Saying it went bankrupt. Me and my parents would go every year from our state. Was closest bigger amusement park. Because Cedar Point was further away. It was shocking to see it like this. I knew it was going to be bad. But wow!! I only have it in my photo album and my memories. So sad. 😮😢

You are very welcome, thank you for watching!
My family's favorite place to be on the fourth of July.
My family and i came here many times.
I remember going here as a kid. My dad told us we were in Florida. 😂
I grew up across the street from there. Worked there in high school. So sad how that and Geauga Lake disappeared :(
I grew up in Chagrin Falls, I would oftentimes bike there and have to go up the big curvy hill on Geauga Lake Road. I miss it so very much
The good old days
My sister took me back in the 70s. Wow.

Nothing more than suing due to bad parenting lol
Thank you for the suggestions Catsy, much appreciated!

at 6:10 I remember getting into a fight with a kid in that whirlpool the last day it was open lol
A fight? Please, do tell me more?
What kind of drone are you filming with
I am using the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone. I love it for its smooth operation and camera quality!
