very happy to see you discover this wonderful little flash, try out the cinch synch option for off camera flash, it even works when the unit is off which I think is pretty neat. :)
I could be wrong about this but I thought I most sx-70 cameras the exposure compensation wheel it's disabled when a flash is attached. There are older electronic flash options for Polaroid sx-70 that are inexpensive on ebay but they don't have the features of the mint flash bar.
tape on a small piece of tissue over the flash to make a diffuser for some really good lighting. exposure won't be as harsh with the full exposure. just a thought.
