Kae Tempest joins Raj Chaudhuri to launch Classic Album Sundays' brand new series 'My Classic Album'. In this series of weekly video streams we will speak with a dynamic and diverse range of English artists, digging deep into an album that inspired them or their own classic album.
Spoken word performer, poet and recording artist Kae Tempest reveals the impact Roots Manuva’s Brand New Second Hand has had on their own work in a compelling interview with Raj Chaudhuri that will inspire viewers to give the album a spin themselves.
‘My Classic Album’ is a series of free-to-view artist interview streams created with support from the Arts Council England Cultural Recovery Fund. Future interviews will feature artists such as Moses Boyd, Nitin Sawhney, Gary Crosby OBE, Black Midi and many more.

I was 19 when I heard Rodney 1st time. I still play this LP at least once a few months. Back to back classic. Saw him in 2000 at the Concorde 2 in Brighton with a full band. Great hiphop gig. Love this dude. That dub album switched me on to a whole genre.
