It matters as much as grading does. It was a system created by people who spent an embarrassing amount of money on item hoping to sell it in the future. When they realized people aren't stupid, but easily manipulated, they create a grading system telling collectors obviously the higher the grade the more valuable the item
@BackyardDuelist Like I said, it definitely matters. But, personally, I think it's dumb that it does. The figures are the exact same, the boxes are the same, and the only difference is the sticker on the box.

Maybe Funko collecting has it different, but I know in my side of hobbies, it usually doesn't add value nor decreases.
The stickers are one thing that can make a difference but it vastly depends on alot of factors. Some factors being location, amount of productions, quality, identifying features, rarity etc...

From what I've read, this really does make a difference and I have no idea why. It's literally only Pop figures that do this. With any other toy line a minor packaging variation would make zero difference if it's the exact same figure but with Pops, having a sticker on the box some how makes it worth more. I still don't understand why anyone would try to sell anything to a store though when you have to take into account they're going to give you less or they can't resell it and make a profit on it. If you put it up for auction on E-bay yourself you will make a lot more money than what a pawn shop will ever pay you. That's where you're going to find people willing to pay top dollar for a sticker.
