I can see the value of owning this game. I own and enjoy Gaia Project, which I enjoy but just cannot get to the table (because my two main game groups either prefer co-ops or prefer lighter fare). Terra Nova is a vibe in the same vein as Terra Mystica, but (probably) has a higher chance of making it to the table. I get that it's a lighter game than TM, but there were still several turns where the player went "deep into the tank" and took a looong time deciding what to do. That there makes a great game IMO, even if it is in the Concordia weight space, instead of that of Small City (I should point out the Concordia is my favourite competitive game). So thanks for this, Terra Nova goes on my Wishlist.
I have a buddy who is kot interested in Terra Mystica, but who is pumped about trying this middle ground, and he is not the only person I know excited for this game. I think they hit a sweet spot for some players who do not chase the extended playtimes and extra crunchiness levels.
We've seen Terra Mystica a bunch of times in stores and always passed it up because it seems like it stinks for 2p, but this game (and learning about Gaia Project for the first time) definitely seem like something to try out! Thanks, HC!
so if this was the first game that was released followed by terra mystica gaia project and age of innovation...would you have bothered to get those games?
Why didn't Edward use his ability, from the player board, the whole game. Shouldn't he have taken money whenever someone built something? Did I miss something in the rules?

Your play-through video is awesome because there are tons of camera shots that capture all the tiny details.

Was a fun game, achieved exactly what it set out to do. I personally prefer Terra Mystica of the 3, and even at 2 player!
Shorter play time, no themeless tracks... this is definitely the choice for me over its randparent.
So wasn’t the sand dogs meant to be getting a $1 for every upgrade by an opponent?
