My dad passed away this week. He would sit and listen to this song over and over again when he lost his job, and for 13 years nothing good came up for him in work and life was cruel to him. Things have been rough, times tough, I lost my dad, many years ago, my big brother & sister both 4 years ago and my mom and younger brother in 2020. They all were the joy of my life, they were my gifts from God, the people who were always there for me, they were strong and true believers,they could point towards the Lord every single time I stumbled, I thought I'd have them with me longer but GOD chose to take them home. My younger brother used to tell me ,"stop fighting against what the Lord is allowing, trust that you are right where HE wants you to be at the moment , trust that HE'll reveal HIS plan when the time is right" I miss my family, I'm the only one left of the immediate family I grew up with so I listen to this song during those moments when I need to remember that GOD is my true strength, when I need to feel HIM in my life, my mind my heart, I know HE'll get me through every time ! Honor the living so they die knowing they really made a difference, this are real artists, masters of a craft, something that may even skip an entire generation and we forget them because their style was to wear a gown and stand in a stage with an orchestra and simply show their gift, nowadays gifts are based on what you can afford with the plastic surgeon, how can they feel when they throw themselves to art but the girl in the tank top sells more because you can see her "underboob". I am sick myself been in a coma and came out after three months. Had blood clots that should've killed me disappear before the doctors very eyes. Oh lord I don't want to give up. Her heart and her mind were broken, she wanted to soar again and couldn't, you listen to this and it doesn't feel like Whitney "The Voice" Houston was singing but somehow it scream "I was Whitney and I need help to get back to that place". We keep failing this people, we keep thinking that they have everything but we easily turn our backs to them and gab about them like the biggest jokes ever, however they were the biggest artists ever, they were living legends, and we still have some of this around, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Patti Labelle and Mariah Carey, yet we keep making the same mistakes, making jokes about them, mistreating them, forgetting their invaluable legacy, for them legacy makes them too mortal so they look for their fans to help but we turn our backs, some know how to cope but Whitney was not one of those and when they are gone we try to remediate by forgetting their worse times to make US feel better, and paying respect when they can't hear you, when they can't see their voice at the top of the charts again, when social media is full of their videos, at that moment it's too late, we are showing respect to somebody that can't hear you or see you again, someone that can't feel your response anymore. Honor the living so they die knowing they really made a difference, this are real artists, masters of a craft, something that may even skip an entire generation and we forget them because their style was to wear a gown and stand in a stage with an orchestra and simply show their gift, nowadays gifts are based on what you can afford with the plastic surgeon, how can they feel when they throw themselves to art but the girl in the tank top sells more because you can see her "underboob". RIP Whitney Houston, I hope we all learn to respect artists your category before it's too late.
