Thanks for taking the time to make the video, I've got one of the cobbler machines and I like it, I find it user-friendly, and easily modifiable and customizable, I've made a couple of videos of what I've done to mine to customize it and the modifications I've done, I'm always interested in seeing what other people have done to their machines, thanks again,😊

Lots of hours and work went into this project. Very nice job. What you learned so far, is invaluable. And of course helpful for many of us. Thanks.

Just offering some constructive criticism. Seriously need to work on your audio equalization. Audio when talking is very low then the music (which is unnecessary) is blaring loud. You have good ideas, just don't let them get lost in poor editing.

Gotta agree wholeheartedly with N Mc on the volume thing, you blew me away [literally] with the first volley of modified elevator music and I left the building. I don't know if you had anything of value but my ears have finally quit ringing after a month of quiet country walks.

I'm impressed by how you mounted that chain wheel to the sewing machine. Great thinking. However I do think it is a bit risky too if something is caught in there....

Great reliable off grid electrical propulsion sytem for a simple heavy duty leather machine.
    Thanks for showing this 👍🏼🌞

awesome job. I'm doing the same thing. I'm going to take the shell off of the drill and mount the motor and drive train to some sheet metal, but you can take the drill off yours and use the drill. Nice option. Also, you can get an 18v power supply at 10 amps cheap. Just incase you don't want to mess with recharging. Nonetheless, great job.

So you've helped with the decision to use a drill. Another option is to use a car window wiper there tough & strong. connect with a PC brick for 12 volts. Lookup Halloween automatons and you can see how to wire up they also have kits. I love the idea with the chain I think you can find an old drill with the adjustable clutch and forgo the spring action. I just need to say though you should cut the music out altogether or turn down almost stopped watching .. would have missed out on this great build. Looks like a custom foot you made too.. nice.

Good idea on the over run clutch. I had been thinking if using a drill motor on sewing machines for some time but the fact of them having a gear motor would be hard to work with. But your idea of bicycle parts over rides that. Thanks.
Btw. The audio is hard to handle. I have no idea how to do it myself so I'm not griping. Could not do it any better.

Great work, the speed control and everything is first rate. The foot control is great. one could use hose clamps to hold the drill if they could not make the clamp like you did for the front of the drill

Great job I couldn’t help but to notice that it looks like some kind of guide or something that you could rest your leather against so you could sew straight lines. Could you do a video on that or send me a photo?

One more comment, Don't place a cover over the chain it will make it less dangerous. I may just try using a chain saw motor with a chain just to make it more manly. Nice!

Loved the video and the ingenuity, but hated the sound, the sound level was all over the place glad I didn’t have my head phones on when the music kick in lol.

Good job, but please listen to your audio with some headphones.
Dude, you need to work on your audio and keep the levels of speech and music the same volume, the music is blasting and the vocal is so low I have to raise the volume, then the music kicks in and wakes the dead, blowing out my eardrums. Actually, you do not need to fill the time you do the assembly with music, most of us don't care about that, we're mechanics, and the heavy metal I like is used constructing things not heavy metal music blasting my eardrums when I'm wearing my headphones .

Great idea lousy audio. The useful idea gets lost in crapy audio.
