I actually agree with you, and not theoretically either. By that I mean I don’t like the hypothetical version of Sonic 06, the version that came out to the masses in a finished state, and resembles much of P-06. No, i genuinely like the product we got. Obviously, the gameplay has several flaws, and is nowhere NEAR P-06 in terms of enjoyable gameplay. For me however, the soundtrack and story alone make the game great, regardless of its gameplay flaws. I even like some of those flaws, like Sonic’s never depleting gauge, makes the stages much more enjoyable. So, overall, I do think Sonic 06 was a good / great game! 👍
