So inspiring. I saw an article today on BBC about him and ended up here.
I knew a guy from Cornwall in the mid-90's who did something very similar, but since he was attempting to get into the Guiness Book of Records he wasn't supposed to stop and have days off. Eventually he got around to the Outer Hebrides and decided to hell with the Guiness Book of Records and he allowed himself a week off, which is when I met him. He said since he was doing the mainland clockwise he always walked anti-clockwise around the islands for a change. Also, when he got to the closest point on the coast he walked to and climbed Snowden, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, and climbed to the highest point on every island he visited, plus he walked the Offa's Dike, turned round and walked back to the other end and carried on around the coast. I lost touch with him years ago but he was an inspiration.
