    Buy the place. Don't think twice and don't look back. Beautiful family and area. Never forget where you came from. Home is where you belong. We make our livings elsewhere. That's only an opportunity to perpetuate life. Take what you have learned back and make it that much better for others who follow you. My Hill family has been here almost four hundred years as well. I lived and worked all over the country. However I know where I am from and damn proud of it. Think what things were like for them. All those generations building and doing so offsprings can have a place in life to call home. My direct family relatives left South Hampton England in the early 1600's to come to America. They walked five hundred miles from the coast to here and settled. I have them back to 1080 or so. Much from your parts as well. Really liked the Viking segment. Very interesting to me. I don't follow TV programs but study real life and history. We have mound burial grounds of the Native American Indians close to home. The grave robbers hit them pretty hard but not all of them. Have to wonder where that all began. The Christians. One's beliefs upon another. Rule of the upper hand. So much was destroyed. Interesting stones with the carvings. Very fascinating. Love to see inside the family cottage. I've seen some in Norway of which families still inhabit for generations. I follow a Dane, Tom of Cimbrer Bushcraft who depicts and follows a lot of the Viking traditions. He has shown artifacts and attended get together camps of the Viking way of life. Interesting. The ride was good and of interest. we really shouldn't ride alone because of the situation you got in with you bike turned over and stuck in the mud. I've had similar instances my self. At 69 it can be very difficult to upright one of these heavy ass bikes. Why we ride. I love the solitude. I worked and traveled alone for most of 28 years on the road for the Fed government. I had already been riding for many years solo across the continents. I enjoy it. Lots to think about and also focus on while out on the highway. I like that and I like people too. I always did long days for much the reason you said. I tell people riding is like watching a movie. You want to see more the hand is like a movie projector, Twist the Grip and you will see more. That's why I'm out there. I try not to ride the same roads as before but sometimes you have to. Mattias, all good from east Kentucky USA. Next time. Head to the beach and enjoy cool ones by the water. Has been an excellent presentation.

      Wise words my friend 🧡, in my head I think of it now and then to buy at least one of the property's back. Some but not all oroperty are still within the family. That small cottage was bought by my grand grand mother, just to have while their livestock was moved to the area summertime (cows, goats etc.) They lived in a larger house closer to the other house i shoved. The red house in the background has been in the family the longest part of the time but not today. You are so right and spot on with where we belong. Alot of relatives back in time, that grew up on these farms, my grand grand fathers brothers and sisters moved to America. I have met one of my relatives living in USA. An aunt to my mother. Living in the Michigan area. Her father started a Hydraulic company that is still running and my mother aunt had a leading position even if it was sold. She is married to a native American and their kids are healthy, her young son was very successful in sports as a kid. Unfortunately, I have no contact with them today. If I look at a DNA map, I have alot of far away relatives in the US.
      Ha! Cool that Yiu follow Thom (Cimbrer Bushcraft), I have followed him and had early contact with him when he started his channel. Cool guy and skilled hand craft.
      We have alot of Viking / Iron Age cultural sites both where i live today and where our family comes from. Alot more to show if anyone is interested. I took Thomas Hansen to two very interesting places on two different travels. The Scandinavian culture are interesting to look at since we where christened so late relative to continental Europe. Our ties to the British islands are alot older than from the "Viking Age kickoff" dated by christians, but not scientifically a start of the culture or the bands to other nations.
      I have rules by myself to not go on remote rough single tracks by myself, but end up there anyway rather often, I'm too curious.... need to think more about the risks.
      Love your post my friend, Happy Trails! 💪🤠🔥✊️✊️

    Awesome. Done part of TET Sweden fewyears ago withny GS LC. Think if my old 2005 KTM 625 SXC do it also. Old lady with max 90km/h😅 but the 500km to the ferry would be no fun. Which gas burner do you use?

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks 🙏 The TET is awesome as well, TST has some more technical parts. Thar old lady should definitely be ridden on ADV again 😁👍. On this trip, I used the Trangia X2 Multifuel Burner. I prefer the alcoburner though, but this burner is preppy for ADV. 💪🤠🔥😁

    Fy fasen, nu får det blir vår igen så man får ut och rasta av KTM 790 Adventuren man köpte den här sommaren. Videos som denna har varit en sjukt stor inspiration för att dra tummen ur och ta MC kortet och skaffa en ADV hoj. Man är finansiellt ruinerad men lika glad för det :D
    Men nu kan inte säsongen komma snabbt nog. :D

      Haha, känner igen det där! Köper lite gottegrejer till min 890R nu. Det tömmer kontot, men skall bli kul. Blir några videos på vad jag hittar på. Mer vår åt folket!

    Härlig video, vart kan man hitta TST, samma ställe som TET? Är du nöjd med din 890, har du övervägt nånting lättare, typ 701 enduro med rally torn?

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Tackar, TST finner du på en facebookgruop som heter TuR Norden. Via den kan du komma åt spåren. Finns en instruktion där. Ja 890'n är helt grym. Just nu håller jag på att modda den med lite godis. 😁👍 Hade ju en 690 i 5 år innan jag skaffade förra 790'n. Kul hoj det med.

    • @Daytona-Man

      @@Braapncamp Tackar, ja det ska jag kolla upp.. Jasså du har haft en sådan liten rackare.. Jag har lite svårt med fronten på 790:n och 890:n men det är fina hojar.. Går ju att lösa med rallytower då ser dem ju väldigt nice ut :). Det är klart det blir lite bekvämare att åka en bit med istället för 690/701 :)

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Daytona-Man 690 gick bra att köra långt på med, bara man skaffar mer vindskydd på den. Ja det är ju fasen att man ska behöva skaffa sig ett torn på 790/890... håll utkik 👀😜

  • @Matte-boy

    Tack för videon! Jag köpte en ktm 890 adventure R 2023 som är väldigt nöjd med men jag har sett och hört på nätet att de här modellerna har problem med deras kamaxel som går sönder efter ett tag , vilket gör att man bli orolig så tänkte fråga dig vad tycker du om det ? Tack 🙂

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Jag bytte jubin denna 790'n vad ca 2000 mil mot en -23 890R. Man gillar ju inte det man ser om detta på nätet, men har aldrig hört något oljud eller känt något på hojarna som är oroande. De har aldrig svikit mig så långt, dessa hojar är så grymma i chassiet, hur de är designade, så kul att köra så jag har inte hängt upp mig på nätdrevet. Jag räknar med KTM ochchandlarens goodwill om det dyker upp något. Det är ju inte så att man blir strandad, ochvrejält slitna kammar skulle ge en mer svårstartad hoj och andra symptom. Tack för titten och njut av din fina maskin 👍✊️✊️

    Matthias do you ever see any lynx out the or anything dangerous.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! The most dangerous i see along the trails are moose, deadly to crash with. We habe Bear, Wolf and Lynx in the woods. Bear from mid Sweden and to the North. Wolf typically from mid Sweden to the mid North. Lynx are spread out everywhere. Wolverine only in the North. I have seen Lynx once only, they see You though. They are not afraid but do not encounter humans. They look att you and walk very calm, no rush from humans. Bears avoid people but could be curious. Have hade a Bear within 15m but never heard it, except from whistling. The large and fresh paw tracks gave me a freezing chill. We have accidents with attacking bears every year. Mostly hunters that get attacked, but not only. The Wolf are shy, I have only seen tracks, but the population have grown. Those who lives on the country side se them rather often. In the areas where they are more dense. Where my family land is the Wolf are seen every week by those who lives there. I never think of this as a problem when riding or staying outdoors in the woods.
