    This is a little random (AND LONG) but I've been watching your channel on and off for years, and each time when I'm back to watch something to do with skincare, I realise that my skin-type has developed in exactly the same way that yours has, so I really appreciate you explaining what your skin is like. It really has helped me make some important decisions on my skincare products! Admittedly one or two products I've tried on your recommendation have not worked for me, but the others I have have helped me GREATLY. I'm just so amazed that after so many years our skin types have remained so similar and I can still come here for tips! Haha.

    Hi Ingrid! I used to watch your channel quite a bit a few years ago and just rediscovered it! I just wanted to say that you were such a role model for me in middle and high school and your videos made such a difference for me. I came out over a year ago now and I want to thank you for being an amazing person and a tell you that it was so so important for me to see examples of what a gay woman looked like. I didn't see myself as gay for a long time because I didn't fit into any of the boxes for lesbians that I had seen on TV. Thank you so much.
    Ps loved the video!

    My skin hasn't reacted well to Glam Glow either! And it's gotten worse too. My skin burns and itches to the point that my eyes water, and when I rinse the masks off, my skin is tight and red! I don't have sensitive skin, and I've never reacted to anything before. My dermatologist said it's because of the ingredients. Glam Glow's masks all have irritants in them like the heavy fragrances, potential allergens such as cinnamal, and the more we use them the more our skin will react!

    Hey ingrid! Upon seeing the Garnier rose water spray you recommended, i also suggest that you try Lush Cosmetic's Breath of Fresh Air toner! Like the Garnier, it has rose absolute! It also has organic aloe vera gel, seaweed absolute, and sea water to cool, clean, and hydrate the skin. I carry a bottle in my bag with me to spritz on my face whenever I need to freshen up! I find that my skin drinks it up, and it doesn't mess with my make-up throughout the day! Lush makes their toners kind of like how you brew tea with ingredients that are all ethically sourced, so you can bet it's an effective and environmentally friendly alternative (: Thank you for this video!!!

    You should try the Christophe Robin line. Especially the cleansing purifying scrub with sea salt if you want exfoliation. It is a little rough because the salts are pretty big but I really liked it when I struggled with dandruff. I also like Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts. It's the one I use now on a semi-regular basis. It helps control oil which makes me be able to go days before having that itchy feeling and causing dandruff.

      Yes I agree, let us know after you've used it up! Also I remember you using the IGK walnut scalp scrub or whatever that was back in the fall - did you end up liking that more in the long term? Or is the briogeo still better?

  • @daphnegrace64
    @daphnegrace64 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ingrid!!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one that didn't love the Glossier Solution. I was sooooo excited to try it, I was hoping it would be what finally fix my acne. But it didn't, and at times made it worse. I used most of the bottle, because I know a lot of times it takes a while for a product to start working, but no. Honestly I think I've decided all together that chemicals that are supposed to help with acne, such as salicytic acid and benzoyl peroxide just are too intense for me. Almost every time I use those types of products, I break out more. Lately I've been trying to stick to gentler, more natural skincare. That, plus focusing on hydration have helped me a lot. Love your favorites videos

    Hey Ingrid it sounds like that me and you have the same skin type and sensitivity. You need to try The Jet Lag Mask by Summer Fridays. Its sold in Sephora and its seriously the best mask I've ever tried. Its moisturizing and makes your skin soft and supple. It give you the glow and it's super gentle. You can use it as a regular mask or an overnight mask which is what I use it for and you wake up with new skin. I also use it for spot treating when I have dry patches and use it under the eyes too. I can not reccomend this mask enough I'm already on my second tube. Let me know it if you try and how you like it.

    tip about the dandruff: i totally thought i had dandruff too, but then i realised it was actually remnants of my dry shampoo, because i spray it and rub it in but i never brush my hair out. one day i decided to brush it after dry shampooing, and IT CHANGED EVERYTHING. so your dandruff may not actually be dandruff. I was gonna get the briogeo shampoo but after this i didn't need to.

    Glam Glow masks have always tingled my skin, but I fan the masks dry. I know it’s a good tingle compared to an irritation tingle because of the results. There are products that sting and hurt no matter how much I fan it. After I wash the product off, it leaves my skin red and causes breakouts. As for Glam Glow, once I start fanning and it dries the tingling goes away. After I wash it off, I am left with positive and expected results. Then again, that’s not to say it doesn’t work for other people.

      it's very common to call US "the states" because it's basically the only "states" country that doesn't have another name (unlike say, United Mexican States/Mexico). It's also preferred over things like America since in many languages America is the name of the continent

    That bronzer color is really more appropriate for a contour. It's toupe, which is what people should be using for contour unless they're very very dark skinned.
