I notice that the FPS is the same for the RX 6600 and the RTX 3080 TI. As much as I love the idea of the R5600X not bottlenecking a high-end GPU, this game needs serious optimization.
60-70% CPU , 90%+ on GPU, utilization with my rig, 5600x+7900tx, epic 440p with native FSR 100%. Hovers 40 - 50 fps in the first town. The game using UE 5.1 and its bad optimization at the UE part. Devs should switch to UE5.5.
100% correct, 3080 = 4070 which is still this generation's mid-tier GPU, people are just dumb, especially if they have a 4090. anyways, I myself have a 3080 and I'm using "lossless scaling FG" to keep that 144FPS on all my game.

Seeing this makes the 3080 feels like a long gone era GPU that has its prime time long past. But NO, this is a high end GPU just ONE generation ago already struggling to play 1080p at 60fps.
Poor optimisation, not the GPU fault. As it’s on par with a 4070 which is also struggling to play this game above 1080p. Imagine paying £550 for a card that is running games in 1080p, a resolution 95% of gamers don’t even use anymore. It’s a joke. They don’t care about optimisation any more, they just rely on DLSS and frame gen to pick up the pieces.

Only if you include disgustingly optimised games like this. There isn’t a single game I’ve played that I’ve dropped below 1440p on my 3080. Most games run in 4k dlss quality or at worst balanced. 1440p ultra works on 99% of games out there.
My tuf 3080 ti oc with Ryzen9 5900x is running everything perfect at 1440 basically max. I always turn off motion blur and all that other shit and run dlss balanced. Love that card.
Its not about the consoles, its about the devs and game optimization, even a rtx 3080 without dlss barely manages to handle 60fps in 1080p. The optimization is the key, and what you have to complain about, attacking the consoles is not okay, you gotta be open minded and see the reality, i love consoles and pc, real gamers should understand that consoles are also part of gaming community, so you should really learn how to respect each other. Why are recent games extremely demanding with mediocre visuals? There's way older games that look and play incredible. Developers are so greedy they get 70$ for a game but are too lazy to optimise it.

@@belec5964 Well, I'd say Stalker 2 looks pretty bad for a 2024 game. Have you tried SW Battlefront 1 and 2 lately? Those games from 9 and 7 years ago respectively look a lot better than this game and run at 100fps or more on an RTX 3080. And there are many more examples. I don't think there's an excuse for current games to look this bad.

I do have 3060, runs perfectly on medium-based settings and looks great in 1440p DLSS Q. Game is greatly optimized for how it looks, this is true next-gen. You just need to know how to tweak the settings, some of them are performance eaters
Ryzen 5 1600 + rx 580 8gb+ 16gb ram + some mods to reduce shuttering and improve fps + 1366×768res and min settings = 60-70fps ez - ican fell 32ram and more cpu core would help for sure
I saw a vid where one last enemy was hiding behind a wall, and as the player approached its location the NPC screamed "Im hiding here!" - possibly communicating with its already dead friends... game needs some patching :D
yet another UE5 shit show where the devs are too lazy to optimise a game and instead shoe horn DLSS in to do all the heavy lifting. This game is hardly a graphical powerhouse it's not doing anything groundbreaking there are farm better looking games out there than this that run 10x better. Lazy devs on a dog tier engine. People think UE5 is one and only engine that should exist but its garbage. Every game that releases on it runs like shit, requires DLSS and framegeneation to play it which causes input delay and visual ghosting. Even when you do run a UE5 game at native graphics without any of this AI bullshit it still has disgusting levels of visual ghosting.
My PC uses i7 6700k + RTX 3080 and 16Gb of RAM I try to play with 2K all medium with DLSS Balance. The results are just unplayable because the frame time and fps were dipping 30-40 all the time and it makes me dizzy AF. Maybe It's time to change my CPU (Of course!) However, the 9800x3d is still BS supply chain right now, and it is hard to find. I was so sad when I saw this video testing on 2K Ultra and got the FPS around 50-60 and looks no problem to run at all
I've had my RTX 3080 since 2020. Seeing my GPU I worked,so hard to get and saved up for struggle, (i'm disabled so i don't make much money and I can't work) and spent $1200 CAD ($800USD) just to barley get 60-70fps with DLSS on performance, settings med, and FG3 on and I barley get 50fps in some areas. it's sad man.
Ultra settings have rt elements and on high it is much better. It could be better but it is not tragic. in 1440p you can play it easily, it is better to wait for patches because the game is not yet polished

not even, the difference in power between the skus is small, and even dismissing that, the 3080 came out in 2020, the best cpus at the time were an 9700k/10700k (same exact performance) or the 3800x, zen 3 launched a few months after the 3080 released, a 5600 is slightly and i mean slightly more powerful than a 9700k. I use a 7800xt and a 9700k at 4k and only this year have games started to not fully utilize my gpu, and even then thats only a few titles.

Dudes everytime when some rumoured game released: It is a slow shit, terrible optimisation, blah-blah. They at the same time, after a while: What a brilliant though, some patches after.
i'm playing 3080 with low settings, runs beautifully and i'd recommend decent headphones and a dac/headphone amplifier it will increase the experience way more than better visuals if you don't already have this, obviously 3080 is mid tier now but i think higher levels of detail can be quite distracting quite often the lower settings are more seamless smoother and immersive

Can anyone help? Have a 3080 blower and can barely play on 1080p on lowest, it seems to be overheating but just changed thermal paste. Also recently used 4k monitor and then switched back to 1080p and all games now have worse performance, anyone has any idea what it could be?
62-70 fps 3080 with 5700x processor 3440x1440 resolution oled so 62 fps feels good. Graphics High preset with balanced DLSS upscaling. No regrets here, very happy with it, loving the atmosphere. Probably an hour into the game, this will keep me busy over winter. Probably the first time I've really thought about a memory upgrade though from 16 GB to 32GB. Make sure to get the latest nvidia driver, they mention Stalker 2 optimisation in particular on the latest version.

5600x is bottleneck at 1080p. I have the same and with 7800xt GPU usage also drops to 80-90%. Seems like for AM4 it's time to upgrade on 5700x3D

Ultra settings have rt elements and on high it is much better. It could be better but it is not tragic. in 1440p you can play it easily, it is better to wait for patches because the game is not yet polished

@@johnconnor5124 It's not just those devs, it's a lot of different teams and studios what was used UE5 and it's a fkn bad result, stuttering etc. The ratio of demanding hardware specs and the graphics in the output - is f***ed up. But proudly reports "the lights or some random fart - is fully physically correct rendering in real time" etc.

А зачем? Залесье это место где нагрузка идёт на процессор из-за большого количества НПС, а тут просто показывается производительность при обычном исследовании мира. В Залесье надо идти с процессором уровня 5800x3d/13600k или 7800x3d/13700k а с 5600 и так всё понятно что вас будет около ~40

@@neonine Та нет, тут проблема в движке. Unreal Engine не создан под такие вещи как A-Life, поскольку сам движок и так требователен к ЦП, так ещё и A-Life жрет дохуя. Стоит признать что сама игра довольна целостная и я сам багов критических не встречал, так что оптимизацию поправят это точно

not even, the difference in power between the skus is small, and even dismissing that, the 3080 came out in 2020, the best cpus at the time were an 9700k/10700k (same exact performance) or the 3800x, zen 3 launched a few months after the 3080 released, a 5600 is slightly and i mean slightly more powerful than a 9700k. I use a 7800xt and a 9700k at 4k and only this year have games started to not fully utilize my gpu, and even then thats only a few titles.

I tried this on my threadripper 32 cores, 64GB ram and rtx 3080. Bad performance. Tried on game mode with 8 cores and it crash on start lol
run this game with a rtx4090 at 1440p with 5800x3d and it runs about 130 frames with frame gen and my cpu is at like 50-60% and in cities its at like 80% for the cpu

i'm playing 3080 with low settings, runs beautifully and i'd recommend decent headphones and a dac/headphone amplifier it will increase the experience way more than better visuals if you don't already have this, obviously 3080 is mid tier now but i think higher levels of detail can be quite distracting quite often the lower settings are more seamless smoother and immersive

Can anyone help? Have a 3080 blower and can barely play on 1080p on lowest, it seems to be overheating but just changed thermal paste. Also recently used 4k monitor and then switched back to 1080p and all games now have worse performance, anyone has any idea what it could be?

impossible i got an 3080ti nd i cant get up 50 fps in a lot of places
62-70 fps 3080 with 5700x processor 3440x1440 resolution oled so 62 fps feels good. Graphics High preset with balanced DLSS upscaling. No regrets here, very happy with it, loving the atmosphere. Probably an hour into the game, this will keep me busy over winter. Probably the first time I've really thought about a memory upgrade though from 16 GB to 32GB. Make sure to get the latest nvidia driver, they mention Stalker 2 optimisation in particular on the latest version.
