Mercury in Scorpio 4h square Saturn In Aquarius in the 8th house Growing up my mother constantly controlled and cut off my speech. Developed a stutter that really impacted me as a child. So my focus on the structure of my speech has been a huge part of my life.

But I’m also a cancer rising so In middle and high school I was pretty shy and sensitive about what others thought. What I did for me was just build my confidence anyway I could. The better I felt about myself the easier it was to communicate. I still stutter on occasion but it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be. In relationships I take my time talking and make sure I pick my words correctly so I don’t second guess my thought process. Writing stories and poems helped a lot. Talking to yourself constantly to get used to it. Even public speaking to push you out of your comfort zone. I feel this square is definitely a gift in disguise because now people really pay attention when you speak and your words have more impact.

I also have a Mercury in Pisces which adds to problem in expression. I am able to think outside of the box, but I do not trust the goodness of others and always suspicious. I think Saturn brings insecurity in thinking and doubt of intelligence as well. But you were on point about seeing only the negative and seeing the flaws that exists. Of all the good things, one bad thing will set me off and I set high standards for myself and others.

There is always a wide expression of any single aspect and certainly no definitive, exhaustive or complete account of how any one person may experience an interchange of Mercury/Saturn. The impulse to structure your thought and putting a lot of thought into what you say would be obviously quite Saturnian. Saturn in aspect to Mercury (especially by a frictional aspect) MAY show there there is a sense of inadequacy in terms of one's intelligence or communicative output. But again, in terms of the practicalities of considering an actual person as opposed to the aspect in a vacuum (which is what we did here), it would have to be taken on a case by case basis. Mercury square Saturn equally can be where someone's thought process needs to be subject to more structure, where someone may need to incorporate more Saturn, OR it can show where there is a lot of Saturn (even too much). These would both be in-keeping with the nature of the aspect. With squares there is often an "overdo" or "under-do" dynamic: too much or too little. In general, a square between Mercury and Saturn would allows us to raise pertinent questions in terms of how that person's Mercury is relating to Saturn and the extent to which that relationship may need to be refined. I have each and all of the things you said. I am somewhat gifted with communication (even in several languages), BUT I was very restricted in my communication as a child, and I sometimes suffer from social fobia, so...hahahahhaa
I have Mercury/Mars/Pluto conjunct, so I feel like it cancels out a lot of the Saturn square influence. This aspects 100% manifests in my verbal communication. I’ve always had a difficult time communicating my thoughts into words. Practicing speech and conversational foreign languages have been really beneficial for me.
This is the heaviest aspect in my chart. This and Chiron debilitated in gemini. It has been a paranoid hell as a result of childhood trama, and a battle to regain some sense of stability and security. This aspect feels like the most intentional and karmic aspect in my chart (and that’s coming from someone with a Stationary Saturn and 3 T squares). I have a Capricorn Ascendant with the Uranus/Neptune conjunction right on it, and Saturn in Aquarius. I have a Gemini South node. Meaning my horoscope ruler and south node lord square each other. My Mercury is incredibly aspected and endowed - it sits at 10 degrees of Scorpio, conjunct my Midheaven, sextile my Uranus/Neptune conjunction and trining my Cancer Mars…and then this square. This FREAKING square adds this weight and pressure that feels like if it wasn’t there my mind would be PURE MAGIC CONSISTENTLY lol. Interestingly enough, I was highly intelligent as a child. Started reading before the age of 1, writing at the age of 5, teaching myself musical instruments and writing songs by the age of 8. Always tested 2-3 grades ahead of where I was and was the youngest in my class. Often deemed genius, precocious, predigious, consistently told then and now of how well I articulate myself and yet I feel like there’s so much MORE I have to say, so much MORE I desire to understand, so much MORE intellectual prowess that I seek that it causes me to have intellectual doubt and stifle way more than I should. Sometimes I think so much and have so much swirling in my head that it actually physically cripples me. There’s also a strange dichotomy of like wanting to read a lot of books and study, but being so bored and underwhelmed when I do. I often feel I lack the interest, discipline, focus to access the level of knowledge I seek, but all I ever hear is how brilliant and knowledgeable I am which then makes me feel like an imposter. In terms of my legacy, I want to be viewed as a brilliant thinker first and foremost, but don’t know which medium will best allow that. Anyway…this aspect is hell hahaha and just one more way in which I’ve been called to do immense work on myself in this lifetime.

Hello, thanks for this informatve video.. I have my mind very scattered and hard to grasp logic sometimes. By that I mean, I easily drift into abstract (Maybe pecause my mercury is in the 12th house) and percieve things in vague ways. Perhaps saturn squaring mercury is a way for me to restructure my thoughts into more workable, practical and organized ways. My question is where does one begin? how do I restructure my thoughts to more efficient and logical ways? Is there any kinds of books to read you would recommend? or videos to watch? Thanks again !
I believe that Mercury at 12 naturally gives you the ability to understand and communicate with everything supernatural and unseen, but a square to Mercury will probably block all this, and make you a "normal" human being but with difficulties in the speech, practicality, perfection in childhood and youth, I know someone with the same as you, he is 40 years old and speaks very coherently, but sometimes his speech is too harsh, it is not sweet at all, (which says).
My son has this aspect. How as a parent do I/we help? My son has been diagnosed with ADHD with a expressive language delay. This is his biggest hurdle by far and although he does receive speech therapy as his mother I know there is more going on. He has assured me he has not been abused but in my heart somewhere it feels like a blockage. I cant figure it out and maybe it is not for me to "figure out" but I want to know how to help him. He also has moon in Capricorn...saturn in the 5th house. He finds enjoyment in technology and IT
