      Now, I'm not sure, how much of that video was fake, but if it wasn't, I gotta admit, that was pretty sad. But you gotta give it a watch, she changed personalities multiple times on camera....

    DID is real. Used to be referred to as multiple personality disorder. It develops out of trauma.
    It's real but not the way they show it in this where the diabetic personality has different sugar levels than the others for example.
    James McAvoy KILLED it in this. The fact you can tell by his posture that he's someone else. Or one personality playing another. It's great

    • @TheMetalRiot
      @TheMetalRiot ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My mother actually worked with a woman who was held captive and tortured for several months along with two other women by a guy named Gary M. Heidnick in Philidelphia. Her name was Jackie Askins, and because of the horrific trauma she experienced she developed D.I.D. This woman was an absolute angel, especially considering what was done to her, she even gave me advice on how to deal with my own far less severe mental illnesses. However she has an alter who's name is "Donna". As she explained in a TV interview, as well as personally to my mom, Donna is her protector. She's as she put it to my mom "a warrior", and whenever she feels unsafe or threatened, Donna takes over and she will violently lash out at those around her because in that state she cannot recognize anyone, even her own children. In the interview one of her sons described an occassion when they were in the kitchen, and suddenly a blank expression came over his mother's face before it switched to a very aggressive expression. She looked at her own son and said "I'm gonna kill you Gary Heidnick" and proceeded to attempt to stab him, luckily however she was only holding a spoon at the time. She genuinely believed in that moment her own son was the man who committed these crimes, even though he had been dead for more than a decade. She warned my mother that if she ever seemed off around her to get away from her as quickly as possible as she wouldn't be able to control herself, because she wasn't herself, she would be Donna. One heartbreaking thing my mother told me was that one of the tortures Heidnick inflicted on his victims was he would jam screwdrivers and ice picks and other long metal objects into the women's ears and burst their eardrums so they wouldn't be able to hear when someone was in the house, and therefore wouldn't know when to call for help. As a result she has permanent hearing loss, and one day one of Jackie and my mother's managers told her to do something, she didn't hear her, and the manager was very rude and said something about Jackie always making her repeat herself, and so she said to her manager "Well how would you like it if someone jammed a screwdriver into your eardrum over and over again? How well would you be able to hear?!" Absolutely lovely wonderful and inspiring woman, one of the kindest people I've ever met.

    DID is very real and i’ve found it very interesting to look up. a person can have only 1 or as many as 100+ alters in their system. what i find interesting is that most of the time an alter is assigned a role. for example if someone with DID is feeling particularly anxious or scared then a protector will front, or if they happen to pass a toy they like then their child sometimes will, there is even a term called the gatekeeper who will push other alters out of control of the body and sometimes also control who is able to remember certain things. not all of them will have a role that’s clear or some may have multiple roles, it’s very complex and is usually caused by past trauma and (to my knowledge) all are often created to help protect the host to some extent.
    (please correct me if i’m wrong on anything, i do not have DID so any correction or input is appreciated!)

We were all in awe. His fear was so much that he forgot that he was paralyzed, and once we reminded him of the fact, his body dropped... and he hasn't been able to walk... But still, we cannot explain how he got up from that chair and ran away! I think the mind does have total control of the body. Life is a placebo, folks.

My dad has paranoid schizophrenia, and I spent much of my time living with him analyzing him and my surroundings as an outside observer. I needed to know what he was thinking and constantly considered how my presence affected the "study". All the way down to whether if losing weight--and therefore making less noise-- would keep him from coming upstairs.

    I would love to see you react to Amber Alert (2012). Its easily one of the scariest movies because of how true it can really be.

    Yes, de disorder exists, BUT remember that this movies are from comic book, so don't take it as real.

    If you like to read, Set This House in Order by Matt Ruff is another great story containing DID and it's intricacies.

    So this disorder does exist and to an extent the movie portrayed it well. Some people with DID can have different dominant hands when another personality takes over and even other physical differences, such as a speech impediment or a twitch. It’s very sad, but also interesting how the brain protects itself

    M night Shyamalan ( the guy who was at the computer with the Dr, when they were watching him walk past the trash ) makes all his movies in philly so from 6th sense on every time He starts a movie I try to get close an I tried getting in but only was around when they were doing some stuff at the Philadelphia zoo😤 one day I’ll be one of the assholes walking in the background of one of his movies😂 but all in all this is probably my favorite of his movies

    Missed the end scene which tied in unbreakable, another underrated great film. Glass was good but could of been much better in terms of their story coming together and the explanation of the underground society. But was a decent film
