Reminds me of throwing a finding nemo combo around the exmouth flats, too bad that was in the days before action cameras. I want to know how hot the spool got in the big run. That'll kill your line really fast when you start using the bigger size. Always love this kind of fun vid. 👍
Don’t think the 2000 size was really made for stopping Sampson fish . The 5000 seems ok. Let me get a few runs on that and I’ll let you know, It’s not a certate but for the price it’s not bad .
I have a teemu rod sitting in my room with some braid and leader. all I needed was the reel and I was gonna make a teem video as well hahahah. good stuff as always man
I used a wish reel as a tester and it worked for 2 seasons it was a small 4000 size with 20 lb braid ... landed 10 to 12 lb blues nicely. The 18 lber smoked the drag and off balanced the rotor. Had a diawa fail the same way at the 70 $ price point but for 9$ it did the job
wasnt really being fair to the reel. Sambos are a bit out of its league. and I didnt want to loose the whole spool of line into the water . the 5000 is way more suitable, let see what its got.
Cheap chinese reels will definitely catch fish its just that you never know when they will fail. For like 8$ AUD with delivery included, its not bad at all 😂
Temu was on 🔥 nearly littuarly too 😂 I have purchased a few reels off aliexpress and many fishing gear. I have my prefered sellers of quality gear. For reels the $30 range has some very good quality choices. Expecially in baitcasters and have many reviews on YT. You were right about corrosion, my reel thats 1 year old is starting to see some surface rust spots on the drag washes and main shaft. For now its mostly cosmetic but eventually will cause issues. With propper matience i am sure you could negate this issue near entirely, but for $13 and $30 you can just buy another. My i suggest a seasir contra, it has a lot of saltwater seal's and seems to get good reviews (i don't own this particular reel). I do own the seasir red bull braid and its decent, less smooth than premium braids but awsome value.
Yeah I’m not too worried if it corrodes for $13 The bigger reels is here and it seems decent too. Won’t be replacing my certate but for the money they are ok
Thanks for this video mate. Been wanting to get some temu fishing gear but was two minded. Got decent bait elastic there before.
It’s not too end gear but it’s decent.
Seems tough

I just saw the Temu Deep drop electric reels , thinking I need one of those
Never fished a reel 3 times cheaper than the line 😂 nice work Scotty 👌
I’m actually pretty impressed with it.
If it held more line it would be great.
@@Saltfix probably better than some entry level big brand reels 👌
Exactly what I thought 😂

@Saltfix tusnami shield is the reel I'm running at the moment and I am pretty impressed so far this will be yr two of monster blues to work it out
@@johncapozzoli7394 I’ll have a look for one 👍
@Saltfix the 5000 4.9.1 and 26in per turn helps my retrieve stay slow for night. You won't be disappointed
Did he hook up to a monster terra firma at the end😁
wow amazing catch mate, good luck
Thanks a lot!
Hey guys that's what I like to see testing those reels to see what they can do
my question would be, how does it match up to kmart stuff, which I use successfully
I’d say it’s on par. For the price it’s pretty decent
most of the time its about the price I buy all my carp tackle from Temu great prices and it works
Great video gotta love the cheap gear it goes alright
It’s better than I expected
Haha I always wondered about these from Temu! Interested to see how the 5000 will go 😂
I’ve got the 5000 and it seems solid maybe a little heavy, hope to test it out soon
No minimum size limit on dhu bangers anymore.
No, but I don’t feel right taking small ones .
@@Saltfix Especially if you pull them up like your boy did. Fairly good chance for survival when you go easy on them👍
mate if your in wa no size limit on dhuys
Temu 💪🏼💪🏼 Zane was on. Keen to see the next one ✅

The corrosion part, just rinse it off when you get home and dry it with a microfiber cloth and ill last longer
to all Carp anglers Temu carp tackle is well worth the money Trev in sunny cape Town south africa
Looks like a shimano sienna probably made in same factory just different branding
Its actually a pretty tough little reel

Its actually pretty solid for the price I think it will last ok, just corrosion resistance could let it down, we will see.

🙋♂️
Cheers Mate
Not a bad idea until it costs you the fish of your dreams one day
if its meant to be its meant to be.
