The Japanese tourism board should employ TabiEats. I have never wanted to visit Japan more than I have since I’ve started watching your channel.... and while I love you both... More Satoshi!
Last spring my wife and I were planning our trip with TabiEats videos. We had to cancel but our rescheduled trip will be planned the same way so keep the videos rolling guys!
Marcus V I am too! Virus delaying my plans, TRYING to go Christmas 2021. But this whole ordeal, I’ve been enjoying my virtual trips to Japan via TabiEats.
Kyoto is life changing, I don’t think there is anywhere else in this world that can bring you the peace and serenity in Kyoto. The tradition is so rich too and full of history (not the boring history), I miss Kyoto insanely much
When you guys stopped at the burger place, the precious smile on Shinichi's face, when he drank the beer, could light up a room. I LOVE when either of you really smile! It is so sincere and happy. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
I absolutely love your excitement about food but I love the unique things you each love, like the locomotives and the masks. I always enjoy your videos!
From 5:00-5:40, I’ve never been so teased in my life. That crunch at 5:35 pretty much made me cry. I wish I was in Kyoto right now 😿. My favorite place in the entire world.
This is possibly your best food tour video ever!! So well shot, great food descriptions, I felt like I was right there with you! So peaceful, like a mini vacation ☺️🍻
Hi my boys! Thanks to you both, and being a part of the TabiEats family for the past 3 years, my bucket list is growing so much, that I’m going to have to spend a month in Japan. My mom, dad, and I visited Kyoto together many years ago, but aside from the famous landmarks, I don’t remember us visiting the areas shown in this video. I certainly would’ve remembered the ochazuke. What works of art, both bowls were! Ochazuke was always my daddies’ all time favorite! He always ended his night with a bowl, before going to bed, so he would’ve loved Fukucha. Thank you for sharing! And Arashiyama......what a beautiful area! Everything from start-to-finish, was absolutely stunning! And your masks! 🥰 The area, every single food item you had-OH. MY. GOSH! I loved how brother Satoshi got excited over the steam engines! When you visit the US next, please add more time to your visit, go to Williams, AZ. You can take the old fashioned steam train to the Grand Canyon. It’s a beautiful trip, filled with lots to do and lots to see. You would both love it! Thank you both for everything!
Omg you make me love you more Mr Satoshi!!!! As a man who had a grandfather that spent his 40 year career on the railroad specifically steam trains I truly have the same love you do!!! Thank you and yes steam trains are amazing!!!
I love Satoshi's English narration of the area... It's almost French like... (haha reminds me of Peter Sellers as Chief Inspector Clouseau) But he is so excited and quiet! I feel like I'm on a journey right there with you guys!!!
This was a GREAT Video! I really LOVED it! Thank you for doing this video on Kyoto. I really love Kyoto for many of the same reasons you noted. There always seems to be a new adventure or a different time period around each corner. THANK YOU!
I'm glad you guys are supporting local and small businesses with dining in and showing us what Kyoto has to offer, we can do a big impact on the future of these establishments and hopefully they all survive through this 🙏 the food looks amazing and very Kyoto made! Tasty.
Thank you so much for your great videos, you always transport us to such beautiful places in Japan. Your videos have such a calming effect on your viewers! 🥰🥰
@Joe...Me, too! Last year Nov I was there and because it's my first trip ever to Japan plus it's in Autumn super popular season, it was sooo packed, I was in shock!! 😁 my husband and I also had no clue of us to walk a lot from one tourist place to another and from the train station, too, we got exhausted just to see 2-3 places in one day. Average walk a day was 16 miles incl us getting lost 😅 I had to skip Saga Arashimaya Bamboo Forest, Gion, Kinkakuji, and got to Fushimi Inari Temple late 😫 If I am retired w/ no time restriction, I would go to Kyoto again w/ no worry of doing 14-day quarantine back home. Seems it's perfect time to visit Kyoto during pandemic w/ no thousand of tourists 😃
Sorry I am writing more than one comment - When I was in Kyoto there was a festival at the shrine next to Chion-In, where I was staying - I think it was called Yasaka Shrine. They had vendors with all kinds of tofu dishes and snacks. It was amazing.
I haven't watched your videos in a while because I was so stressed out with this year, but now I'm much better and will be binging everything with my mum. Thanks for all the hard work ♥️
I can feel the cautiousness as you both move along the place, which is totally understandable. In fact, we have a long holiday in my country right now and I did not even go out of the house which makes me a little sad. Although I think it's the right thing to do especially there might be too many people outside. What I want to say is, thank you for your videos, it lessens my melancholy. Stay safe and i hope you will be free/spared from any illnesses. this is my first comment although i've already been watching starting early 2020. Let's all try our best! :)
This has me extremely nostalgic from my last time in Kyoto and visiting Arashiyama. It's great seeing places totally new to me and I look forward to moving over to Kyoto next year to try them!
Most likely due to the shibazuke which has a very tangy refreshing taste to it. Its kind of like having a palette cleanser in the hamburger itself. I am not sure about the kinpira renkon but I can imagine the shibazuke to work well with the burger.
You two are endearingly wholesome with all the content you share. I first started watching you guys when I had a yearning for Japan, having been privileged to live there four years around the Tachikawa area. Now I watch you guys purely for the content and watching the enjoyment you get from everything you try. Hope you and your loved ones stay safe, keep the videos coming-they're awesome.
I visited Kyoto in 2019 and got to spend the first part of our quarantine in March being reminded by Facebook of all the amazing things I had done the year before. Thanks for bringing back some great memories! I can't wait to visit Japan and Kyoto again!
I also wear handmade cloth mask, one piece of advice- you can keep it feeling brand new like when you first bought it, after you wash it every day, iron or steam it so it holds its shape. It seems like a lot of work but because it’s fabric, because washing it will lose its shape a little and go all wrinkly. Steaming or ironing will make it crisp and hold it shape like how when you first purchased it. 💕💕💕
Quarantine aside I wish I could save up and go to Japan. They’d literally have to sedate me to get me on a plane though because I start hyperventilating if I even look at a picture of a plane. :(
@@hisokamorow3611 I have the worst case of acrophobia I’ve seen. I’m prone to anxiety and panic attacks just thinking about it and I have I weak heart on top of that. After watching for a while and being really intrigued by this particular food tour, we're booking a two week stay between Tokyo and Kyoto... we love you guys and can't wait to experience some of the same places we've drooled over from afar. I really appreciate some of the hotel selections on the other channels as well, as seeing a place beforehand greatly relieves my anxiety of travelling somewhere without speaking the language. At least I've got seven months to learn as much as I can! Thank you both so much for helping us to see parts of the world that we didn't think we'd ever get to see in person.

The amount of Steam Locomotives is amazing in Kyoto. Especially with the Steam Locomotive repair shop at the rail museum. There are so many to look through.
Ok you two. I've been trying to decide where to visit first and this clinched it. Kyoto is it. More relaxing and more to see and the food looks good. Thank you

That street is so close to the forrest yet it was so quiet and serene. I miss Japan. Hopefully covid is gone by 2021 and I’ll be visiting Japan once it’s possible.
you guys look so happy! Satoshi, you should maybe travel to more places with Shinichi, I love seeing you both trying new food and traveling! of course Sinichi looks more happy and excited when he travels with you than solo!
