We have state land up here... and I called DEC to see if I could metal detect (I have a Nokta Legend), and they said NO. I have a permit for a few of the state parks here, but it's limited. (southern tier). So I'm just been fishing coins out of the local city park. I have a small round tiny tarp with plastic gromets on it... which scoop my dirt on... and got nice low profile shover... very narrow for planting... that has a kick on it. I wanted to do some panning with a sluice.... I'll have to look you your mention about it being legal I think I saw somewhere else that said it was legal too... and everyone just auto-repeats the kings law thing. Thank you. If I'm ever in your neck of the wood we shall look to capture the Candian Lynx together.
Get a Falcon metal detector it finds gold this size[.] 1and 1/2 inches in stone.no noise on fools gold and black sand a noise going a way. Try out gravel pits or any place you see stones. Here in the Adirondacks you will find more stones than you want to open to see if the metal was gold or what kind of metal. Out west they have a saying Iron gives birth to gold and or Iron is the mother of gold. Being 80 I am still learning you tube stuff

Nice to see Rudy Giuliani is finally turning his life around, and reconnecting with nature.
I can’t watch people with picks.
