wife and I want to travel to Bali this fall for at least a month, would you recommend Ubud as a base??
For me, Ubud is one of the best places on the whole island. It really depends on what you want to do, though. It's about 2 hours to get to the nearest beach from Ubud, lots of rice terraces and waterfalls here though. It might be best to share your time at different locations if you want to see different attractions.
