We’d find feathers below her nest and chicken parts could be seen hanging out of her nest. Coatis love chicken, so I wouldn’t recommend a parrot for a room mate!

@@deker0 Opossums have notoriously short lives. Like, 1-2 years. I remember being shocked when I learned that, because that's the same lifespan as the average dwarf hamster. With the right handler/owner, they can be adorable, loving pets--smart, too! It must be painful to befriend something that's, on average, smarter than cats or dogs; for such a short time.

The devastating loss of Steve Irwin was a tremendous blow to animals worldwide and filling his shoes takes a small army but people like this can make a huge difference by getting in front of the camera and showing people how innocent, amazing, and beautiful animals are. Yellow jackets NOT bees. Yellow jackets look cooler. But sting a bit worse, also they dont make honey. From what I heard even paper wasps are milder than Yellow Jackets.

I wonder why coatis are legal as pets, but not local raccoons? I've been told that they apparently live in my state in some areas (Texas) but I'm way too far from South America to have seen any. They're so adorable to watch in the zoo, though. Little tails held up like flags!
I ran across a couple of those in southern AZ while hiking near in some mountains the border. They were a bit shy and stayed away from us when they saw us. They get about the size of a medium size dog I believe.
There are many of those where I live, in places where there are many trees and stuff. They love eating mango and banana and are really docile, tho they get easily scared off. Its funny seeing them called "exotic" animal lol.

Raccoons carry rabies and are generally not good pets! My dad’s friend had one and he had to get rid of it as it attacked him once it got big.
