I think it's harder seeing celebrities age, because we're used to seeing them younger. Like every time I watch Back to the Future, Michael J Fox is 23 years old
Spin City was an incredible and underrated sitcom and glad they got Michael J. Fox back together with Christopher Lloyd for this episode. Shows that the producers of this show are also big Back To The Future fans.
I really like the first episode of season 3 episode "Dead Dog Talking" with the cold opening that showed him skating around the office and giving the staff their assignments.
I remember this was towards the end of MJF's time on the show: they also had Meredith Baxter & Michael Gross (his mom & dad on Family Ties) make guest appearances. It was a great way to pay tribute to him. ❤
Thursday 6th July 2023. Seeing Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd getting back together and having that big hug warms my heart. It really does as they are both wonderful superstars. Bless them and bless all of you. Love from Virginia Clark.?! ;) ;( :) 🙂🌍🌎🌏🌈🐕🦊🐺
I was watching this over the pond in Britain absolutely nerding out when it first aired. Getting such an iconic movie duo together for a TV sitcom was a huge deal back then
You could see tell tale signs of his Parkinsons disease. He did an amazing job of working with it for so many years. I grew up with him watching family ties and back to the future.. and the movie he did with Joan jett...
honestly the only thing that would have made this episode any better was a scene at the end where Loyd's character offers to give Michael a lift and he happens to drive a DeLorean and when they get in they just stare forward quietly at first and then slowly start to look towards each other then they look back forward and both go "nah" and they drive away
Oh no. Waay too obvious and cheesy dialogue. They done a respectful nod here and left it at that. Overdoing it just ruins it, it's cringe. Literally the comment by Michael J Fox would be a a suitable response to your idea "What the hell are you talking about".
Our back to the future actors have reunited. 0:53 Christopher: The past is prologue Michael, men like has to keep looking to the future. Michael: What the hell are you talking about? Me: Back to the future, that's what he's talking about Michael.
Did you know that Michael j fox was in a film with Christophe Lloyed back in the 70’s. It was called Backing to the Futures of Time. That’s why the audience whooped.

Great Scott😮

@@agentzurg3592 Man, that was heavy.

BOOOO haha of course a 90s sitcom would have a line like that
@@blingVolcano That was the point of him being on there
This "Back to the Future" shout-out is so on the nose...and we love it!
This scene really brings a smile to my face. Great to see these two legends back together.
It really sucks that people have to get old.
Yea.
It sucks more when they get diseases
Yeah, you included.

The “what the hell you talking about” 🤣
I love this scene so much.
Love it.
It just feels so GREAT. It makes you literally want to drop everything and watch the trilogy from the beginning again.
you can feel how everybody is smiling at this interaction
''This is like stepping back in time'' I love that

I never met anyone in my life that doesn’t like back to the future
@@walterwhite1 Is that even possible?
No it was very highly rated, in fact.
EVERYONE... is a Back To The Future fan...
This is as close to a back to the future 4 that we’re going to get.
I remember this was towards the end of MJF's time on the show: they also had Meredith Baxter & Michael Gross (his mom & dad on Family Ties) make guest appearances. It was a great way to pay tribute to him. ❤
This was 3x18 so MJF was on the show for another year before deciding to leave.
you could see he was experiencing symptoms here.
Meredith played his mom on Spin City too Michael did a cameo on her very brief and failed sitcom
I loved those episodes too
Yeah you see in Michael's face how hard he has to try.
You couldn't ask for better lines from two greats!
I love how unapologetic and not subtle the dialogue is in this scene haha
This how I felt when I reunited with my bestest friend. That's why having a best friend is the best thing to have in your life!!!!
I must say, in my heart it"s the best movie duo ever!
Such a timeless friendship❤

"I don't know..." LOL!!!!
ARE, not r.
YOU, not u.
The 90s was definitely the height of the sitcoms!
I think a lot more people than usual for this show watched this episode when it first aired!
Regrettably, I wasn't one of them. My parents didn't really care for this show and they always controlled the remote
@@geoffwilliams4478
It's a shame it was set in City Hall, rather than a worldwide advertising agency

This might be the best comment on youtube. Well said.
This brings tears to my eyes actually

Brilliant parody homage to Back to the future ✨
Just a few seconds but they managed to get a couple of references in there. Great. (Scott.)
Lol the tongue in cheek nature of the dialogue is really funny I love terrible puns!!
“It’s like stepping ‘Back In Time!’”

I love how they keep making jokes about Back to the Future. God, i love this duo.
Back To The Future: Part IV (1996)

love these 2 actors!!!!!
Geeez I teared up.
I have never seen this scene until now.
I’m not crying. You’re crying.
…To the future.
You can see him trying to hide his Parkinson’s
Seeing him like that is so heartbreaking, which makes it harder to watch anything that’s post Back to the Future involving Michael.
I noticed that too. Poor guy was fighting through it. 😞
He had been trying to hide it since his "Family Ties" days.
Yeah it's sad knowing all the constant movement isn't just the character being antsy like you would assume on first watch.
This was his last season with the show
Great Scott! I missed out on this episode! Brilliance before my eyes!

I’m pretty sure that Michael J Fox didn’t tell the team behind “Spin City” about his Parkinson’s until at least a few years had passed.
