    Can we start permanently banning foreign investment in more than one property already? If you don't primarily reside in Canada, you shouldn't be able to own half a neighborhood

      Why stop at foriegn investment? Why should any Canadian be able to own half the neighbourhood? Prohibit owning more than 2 properties (one home and one designated recreational property). This should apply to individuals and corporations.

We need to lower this and delete many of the programs This guy put into place in his 8years. When this happens it will bring the value of our dollar up again so we can buy more for less.

      It's easy to answer directly when you aren't the government, where things you say actually matter and you will be held accountable for what you say. Think about it, when Polievre says something, it's taken as the position of his party. Other countries, and most of Canada don't care. But when Trudeau speaks, for now while he is Prime minister, he represents Canada. You do not want our Prime Minister potentially spouting off incorrect, poorly thought out answers on the spot when a single slip up can have ramifications for Canadian relations and Canadians themselves all around the globe.

      might I suggest that we have a better incentive structure. For example can we NOT spend all of the departmental budgets? Can we not reward federal managers using modest bonuses for not spending massive budget dollars just because it is "there"? For example if a manager in a departmental unit saves (prevents) $100,000 in spending I have no problem with that ending up as a $1000 bonus for doing so.

    i would love to see a home in canada that is brand new in the $250,000 range. The brand new homes being over $700,000 is rediculous. I dont want to spent $500,000 on a home that was built 100 years ago either

      You have your own business and couldnt show a valid estimate for taxes this year thats why. Call CRA and show them how much average you will make so they can have a gauge

      You can calculate the installments based on earnings from the last 2 years years, doesnt have to be the estimate of this year. Then all will be balanced out the next year. Talk to an accountant

    my land tax goes up each year, im 55, so when i retire in 10 years, i will be paying over 500 per month for land tax, then add a mortgage, power, water, sewer, insurance and medication. I won't be in my house when i retire, I just can't afford to.

    My wife and I have been fortunate enough to both seen raises over the past few years since the start of the pandemic within our careers. Despite that, we have been brutalized within our own savings from the increase in grocery bills, energy, utilities, etc. This isn’t sustainable for our future as we attempt to tread water with higher interest rates. We are done with Trudeau and need a change in leadership ASAP!

    I retired after Trudeau made it uneconomical to keep working. From his increasing every tax he could possibly raise (income tax, carbon tax, alcohol tax etc. etc. etc.) to the fact that any money I made came off my pension (which, after he taxed back my CPP and then took more off the OAP that was supposed to buttress that) and added a two year penalty for any income I brought in. When anything I earn penalizes my for two years after I earn it, I ain't working for the government.

    Canada's tax rates are too high and the tax system sucks. You should look to Australia's which is much lower than Canada's let alone Australia has higher hourly rate. Canada even punish low income working class by putting heavy tax on them and push them to a point where they struggle to make ends meet.

      When the money supply is increased, the value of the dollar decreases. Thus losing purchasing power. This is economics 101.

      With current tax rates, you do not make $19/hr. You make $14/hr take home. A 5% drop in the tax rate would bring that up to $15/hr for an extra $160/month. That's $8,000/yr
