Then once they had them in the courthouse one disappeared when he went to the toilet. Break for lunch. Then when the case started the prosecution pipes up with their main witness has been missing for months and they cannot find her. Case adjourned for six months. 60 citizens time totally wasted just so a couple of KCs that jetted in from 600km away could get paid for the day. Next time I got called up I went to work, and my company paid the fine.

I am not sure what triggered that KC but what an absolute nob he is. There he is sitting most likely in his multimillion pound house claiming that he and the justice system needs more money. He seems like a particularly nasty sort of a man.

The problem with drug addicts and alcoholics is they commit CRIMES....so the police and courts deal with them as such. So, putting them in some rehab instead of prosecution means they get away with the crimes???

I've done jury service 2 times, if you cannot be bothered and want to leave early you just say guilty or not guilty. Everyine knows if you are deliberating and it's a Thursday afternoon you may not be needed another week. So sometimes jury results aren't thought about properly. Go with the flow to get out early.

Firstly, my respect to Alex for holding her ground at the beginning of this interview, she was almost being cross examined from the moment she spoke! Wow.
Fortunately matters didn’t go South and the KC got off his platform and spoke with common sense.
I actually concur with what was said.
The problem with “Quick Fixes” is, they’re not fit for purpose and tend to back fire in the medium to long term.
Alex is passionate with her presentations and I respect very much this lady (Maybe another Iron Lady that’s not for tuning)

It was a 'snippy' reaction from the KC but with every good reason. If and when Alex Phillips doesn't know what she's talking about then she would be better advised not to spout her ill considered opinions to the watching masses.
