As a kings fan that’s just crazy seeing how Fox and especially Sabonis have been playing ESPECIALLY Sabonis. They haven’t gotten the recognition they’ve deserved all season.

@kkrr3677 Well, the reserves are voted by the coaches, so I assume it had more to do with the Timberwolves having the best record in the west, leaving them two spots and moving out the kings because they aren't doing as good as last year. Coaches always vote towards winning teams unless there are clear superstar players that are way better when voting for reserves.
Tbf you are probably used to that feeling if you are a kings fan.

Idk how Sabonis averaging 20, 13 and 8 on >60% shooting (and a cute lil >40% from 3 on over 50 attempts), leading the league in rebounding and 5th in the West gets snubbed over AD who is 9th in the West.
Maxey gets an All-Star nod being 5th in the East while Trae gets snubbed at 10th but AD gets to be an All-Star being 9th in the West while Sabonis gets snubbed at 5th.
I just don't know why coaches do this. Shit really affects a player's career and (future) contracts. Not that I care because they make millions already but it's a legacy and respect thing.

I agree Sabonis edge’s Markkanen in rebounds and assists, but that’s his role. I’d rather the 7 footer than can shoot lights out from everywhere. He, unlike Sabonis, takes more than 1.1 3’s a game (8.1 for Lauri). But hey, Sabonis is 5% better from 3… I imagine that means he scores a bunch from outside right? No. Let’s not try to compare a play in the paint and assist PF (Barkley style), to a play outside SF/PF (Dirk style) with completely different games. Seeding is all TEAM relative, not individual. And by comparing individual, those 2 are the Fowards snubbed out west. 1a 1b doesn’t fucking matter. (Fox is a completely different debate he’s a guard)
Not to mention, if you use your own logic… tell me why LeBron/AD are in the game? If “best player AND team rank” matters when comparing 😵💫

Less playtime for main stars (if they play both games for every minute it's only 16 minutes more)

Adds competition
Less snubs
Justifies on worse all star years giving a pity all star
Makes it an actual weekend event - semis matches either both Saturday or Friday/Saturday and finals on Sunday

Everyone is complaining about the Kings, but the Pelicans didn't have a single player on the team either. And the Kings could at least have a player sneak on through injuries. The Pelicans are just out of luck. They've been a playoff team the entire season and didn't even come close to having someone on the team.
Diehard Kings fan here. I just want to say that I've watched every single Kings game this year, and I believe that Domantas Sabonis is having the 2nd greatest season EVER while wearing a Kings jersey (behind Big O of course). The crazy part is, I don't think he's even at his peak, once he gets better at dealing with drop coverages, and doubles, and knocks down some more free throws he is going to be an unstoppable force.

Kings fans! I’m a die hard Warriors fan, but I consider myself an NBA fan before anything else. I like teams that hoop the right way, I think this is a blessing in disguise for Sacramento.
