Dayo G is always complimentary to Twisted in much the the same way C Ray is, perfectly adding, always well placed and on time and it is even more pf the same when all three of them work together. Obviously Insane and C Ray have that seamless dynamic that just builds and never detracts from another, which is already not just the most underrated chemistry in the game, but outright unrateable and olff and off scale. Any scale big enough to weigh that wouldn't be precise or accurate enough to capture the precision of the excision is these ginsu cuts. It blows my mind how these guys layer and build not just the tracks and songs as a whole but the intricacies of each and every little thing. I'm such an annoying overly analytic person and all the tiny technicalities often keep me from experiencing a song on its full merit, not even over bad, but good stuff if its super tight, because I get mind blown even after 100s of listens if something is just incredibly prominent or noteworthy lyrically, sonically or just musically from the transitions to bars or production elements that it can sometimes make the songs collections of moments without allowing it to be one whole moment, which isn't good or bad, but just is what it is. I can't ever put my finger on exactly what genuis or voodoo is behind the fact that I don't have that issue with these guys songs, which is so bizarre to me, because of the intensely nuanced way that C Ray tends to come amd stay on tracks, weaving in and out in ways that are technically complex and structured in elaborate ways all while never departing from or minimizing the meaning or content as well as overall feel and vibe, which is something Insane also does individually, but when done together, it multiplies the effect of it, maximizes the respect i have for how it is managed by an artist at all, let alone two or three artists, with the intricacies involved and complications that presumably should be present, but never seem to be when certain special elements or conditions or met, sometimes on a verse, hook, bridge, song or even album that elevates certain work to the highest levels of composition, but that still have to be excuted, which isn't lost on me. Now, here's where what's left of my sick brain gets blown out my hair, this is almost always the case when these guys work together, especially from like 2015, on and definitely 2016/2017 onward. I'm talking not A1, but S class. Maybe, and I mean maybe, there are instances or A1 or S class here and there in a work in the margins somewhere, but if we are talking releases from either of their albums and really most if not all of the ancillary releases made to release as standalone under with of their artist names, I'm talking about consistently S PLUS class compositions and productions from the perspective of this weird category that I apply to all of my favorite artists that I either like because it speaks to me, is dope because its my kinda shit or even the shit I think is objectively the best, but its a lense to place on stuff not because I'm some critic, but because it speaks to the way I experience music of all levels and for any kind of purpose if ya know what I mean. I can view the most basic simple type of whatever that wasn't made or isn't trying to be some high level work or the stuff that is approaching or is master class or God tier level stuff and is created for the purpose and the lense I'm speaking of regardless of the talent or "quality" of the music may or may not end up being reflected very well in this lense. Some kinda meh, mediocre stuff can actually in terms of seamlessness and continuity as well as all the things that aren't necessarily bad and can be great but as a listener listening to it with my overactive but fine tuned brainsick fleshball between my ears, in that lense that isn't speaking otherwise to good or bad, a song that is great or even average by most any measure may not be reflected well in that nuanced but noteworthy way regardless of conventional measures of song quality. Sorry rambling but I'm saying some mid can stand up to this lense very well and some incredible stuff may for whatever combination of reasons not happen to be complimented in this hard to explain lense. Anyway. Of all the music I've ever heard, these guys maybe by far most consistently leave me incredibly almost if not awestruck by how all of the elements of production, the elaborate technicalities, the multilayered and complex collaborative building that the different facets and pockets they are maneuvering in and from seamlessly seem to always land like an Olympic 10 from a gymnast. Idk if that gives credit or speaks to what im trying to say though. More like floats around and above, occasionally landing for C Ray especially with a precision that makes the landings almost a surprise as if you didn't know or forgot he'd jumped and was up there. And with Insane, its wild like you see him there or hear him coming or know where he's going but he'll either land heavier, leave more softly or just a baby hair before or after you're brain is calibrated to place it, which makes it prominent but it wasn't off, you as the listener were, so instead of having the effect of kinda jarring the listener as if it were an obvious reminder the listener was out of time, it lands more like a bump on a speedometer or the needle of some manual tool that measures something in real time doing the up down or back and forth like hitting the dash on a old car, quickly leveling back out and leaves you feeling as if somehow you just dialed in and got more precise rather than emphasizing you were ever off. Its wild. And I say this as someone who can keep time and has heard these songs hundreds and some thousands of times. Its wild to me to see artists ever even runs of consistebtky making songs that I can say are perfect technically, sonically and all the stuff from a production an the hearing side of the composition side all while being incredibly poignant from a lyrical perspective composition side where all these layers of building and facets all while doing musically complex and impressive things which can be risks if not just right, yet manage to be perfect not only in that right, but line that up with lyricism and the content building in ways that are impressive simply from a lyrical, words driven perspective, but have that line up with the musicality too. Its normally a rare feat and ifanything, it's abnormal, but these mother fuckers seem to have it standardized it and I just can't say enough how absurd and abnormally impressive it is to me and appreciated it is by me.
