Holy S _ _ _. I'm happy you added the outro with trees in the background. It means you're ALIVE. What a fun video! While I'm sure you were rattled, you didn't show it. Great job, Captain and crew. See you next week.
I always like whenever I comment to show my love for your channel.. I am a sailor wannabe I am so impressed that you did this Now about my thoughts on the torn sail. I remember watching the Wynn's when they were taking sailing lessons. The instructor said "if you thinking about reefing, reef". It always stuck with me. You've have shown to be a braver man than I as all I can do is live vicariously through you but don't be hubris. I did get my pilots license years ago. The instructor told me " there are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots"
10:56 Oookay, I need to tell you a secret. 🙂 99.9% of trade fleet is composed of people for whom English is not the first language. A typical crew on a GOOD ship is a Dutch or German captain, Singaporean or Taiwanese mates (OR VERY young Dutch/Germans), a Ukrainian chief mechanic and Italian Chief Engineer, the rest (including helmsmen) are Thai, Indonesian or Malaysian. Older ships have a slightly more interesting composition. 🙂Thanks for the infamous and notorious Henry Act, the only English speaking sailors now are... cruisers.
Anyway. You need a new favorite sail. 🙂Dig deeper into the stores, there MUST be a spinnaker somewhere there. 😀
Oh, there is...
@@sailing_scout You only raised it once when you tested it.. somewhere in the Caribbean. 😞

No arguments here. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
When you get to Australia, have the kids walk in the squishy sand at Rainbow Beach barefoot.
Looks amazing! Unfortunately we aren't going to do the east coast. Thanks for watching!
The old saying when sailing multihulls. "if you think you should reef,...you should reef!"
Yup, no arguments here! Especially not now.

Es cierto. That's true.
11:00 You woke up the helmsman!!!! How dare you!!!!
Thanks for the weekly thought. I needed to hear that today.
You're very welcome - glad it helped!
Thank you.
Not a bad idea, obviously. Thanks for watching!
11:20 OUCH!
9:53 183nm a day!!!! That's very respectable. Kudos, Privilege. 🙂
Credit the conditions, not our sailing chops...
Play the guideline front to back of that boat and put on some safety gear

Great episode! Love the sarcasm!
Thanks for watching!
hello friends!
Ends with a smile! If sails are like engines; you blew an engine. Costly?
Just an expensive lesson, but everyone is safe and the boat in one piece so no harm done!
