    What kind of material or wood did you use for the riser?

      Hi, 1/2” x7 1/4” MDF baseboard from Home Depot.

    Thank you for this video! I’ve been putting off doing my stairs for a long time, but your very detailed and clear explanations are so helpful! Would 1 inch nails be too short? I am trying to save money by looking in to a less expensive brad nailer, but the longest nail would be 1 inch. Also, do you need to paint the risers?

      @MrYoucandoityourself  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If your flooring 5/8” or less thickness- 1” pins will be fine. Also risers need to be painted. Better paint it before installation and after just touch up.

    Noticed that you installed over the stair foundations. Did the code require max and min for stair dept and height?

    • @MrYoucandoityourself
      @MrYoucandoityourself  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Here is Canadian code- The rise or the total height of each step can be no more than 20 cm (7 inches), and the run a minimum of 21 cm (8 ¼ inches) with a 23.5-cm (9¼-inch) tread. The tread is the part on the step where you place your foot.) You'll also need a handrail for two treads or more.

    Please, advise, where do you acquire foam rolls for bottom of the wall protection during self-leveler install. Thank you!

      @MrYoucandoityourself  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, you can find it in any lumber store. It’s call foam gaskets size 5”, in reals 4.5”😀. This foam, carpenters used between the concrete slab and wood. Easy!
