I watched the movie Where the Crawdads Sing and then my husband bought me the book not long after. I am a very slow reader so I’ve been making my way through it every so often for almost a year now. Slowly but surely!
I wanted to see the northern lights so bad, but alas it was completely cloudy for us here in Pennsylvania. Hopefully we will get another chance someday.

Oh my goodness! I made it to the banana bread portion before the tears started! After days of rain and cloudy skies where I live, we have been touched and blessed by the emerald fairy! We're a bit behind in blooming flowers, but we will catch up. It was wonderful seeing the moo calves come to greet you as well as your kitty patrol on your morning walk. Another peaceful & tranquil experience at the beautiful Lost Forest! Also quite funny too at times! LOL The new darker stain is really becoming on your garden wood edging. Good choice! I also love your 'water feature' in the garden, or 'cat fountain ' as you so fondly put it. I was thinking it might be even lovelier with some shimmering goldfish swimming around in the water there. Although how long they would last is another matter? LOL.Oh my! Lastly, but certainly not least, was the beautiful Northern Lights display in the night sky! It was just breathtaking. So calming, and peaceful, more so than usual ... I love your celestial meadow, so well seen; the colour of some of the teenage calves, kind of blue merle I think they call it ... the aurora at the end, so special. I have not been to Ireland, but the impression from your videos is that it is so close to that faerie realm, otherworldliness, which has been lost in other places .... sometimes they call it 'thin places' where the gap between the seen and the unseen is close .... El jardín ya va cogiendo forma y color; las lilas están preciosas, y las flores de los manzanos, espectaculares!

Thank you for taking us along for the day. Absolutely loved it all. The person who thought of the book date idea was a genius! Lol..loved it. A candel shop heading toward Hershey ,PA here in central PA.. has a similar surprise. In brown paper bags there are surprise candels for one and two dollars. I've gotten some awesome deals. I'm a book and candel lover too. Loved the pastry shop they all looked totally delicious.
I sat in awe as I watched the lake with the swans. Wow!!! Instant tranquility ❤ water effects me that way too.
Will you be adppting Mr Pup's one puppy? He does look like his daddy.llol and so playful.

Hi Gillian. The Northern Lights are INCREDIBLE - I've never seen them, and understand they are especially spectacular this year. I wanted to ask about Lily. Were any of those little calves her? I pray she is doing well. The cows are so beautiful. I've never thought about the fact that there have been generations of dairy cows on your family farm. Very nostalgic. Blessing to you sweet lady. Aw I'm so glad you enjoyed it Melody! I used an oil called Owatrol oil & rust inhibitor, I gave it a scrub first then applied the oil once the surface dried to maintain the warm tone to it 😊❤

I laughed out loud at the thought of Charlie and the mini moo discussing "that woman" who is constantly filming them!! 😂Whatever happened to Lily, the black mini moo? Is she faring well? Felt rather sad at the thought of the loss of the ancient apple orchard - I've nurtured a lifelong dream to own my own apple orchard, mostly because they're so beautiful (but also because the apples are quite nice too!!). Lily is doing well! She’s with her friends in the calf field and is becoming a more normal size 🥰. Yes, the orchard unfortunately fell victim to disease or neglect, so fingers crossed my new orchard plan will be a success ✨💕
