Being born in 1969, I missed the main event, but Man and His World was incredible to me! Even with my mother going on and on (and on...) about how extraordinary '67 was. The theatre in the Round was still there as well as the Iranian pavilion- which I thought was the most exquisite building with its colourful columns outside and the stairs inside where you could sit and watch a film. Thank you for posting this!
Expo 67 and the subsequent years of Man And His World are some of my earliest memories and I'm haunted by them to this day. Even as a young kid, I sensed the harmony and optimism people speak of.
We visited there when I was 10. I still have good memories as I'd never seen anything like it before. It was a very promising view of what the future might look like.
I was 15 and got to go to Expo twice from New Brunswick. I spent a total of about 3 weeks there and went to Expo every day. I loved the magic of that place and even got my first French kiss. Wish there was a time machine!
Thank you for creating this. I never attended the actual Expo, but through videos like this, you have taken me there. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. If I could take a trip anywhere, I’d love to go (back in time to) there. But, that’s not possible. I’ve been to the site numerous times, and I could always sense the excitement and hope and joy and amazement that was present all those years ago. I’m envious of all of those who were able to experience it first hand.
I was lucky enough that my parents took us in 1967 when I was 6-1/2 years old. The story and photos bring back wonderful but distant memories. Thank you!
My family and I went there 7 times in '67, I was 8 years old and remember so much of it, naturally my favorite part was LaRonde the amusement park section of it. The Gyrotron was something to behold! Also the restaurant there that served buffalo burgers, they were delicious!
Thank you so much for creating this video. You are completely right when you describe Expo 67. The excitement leading up to it and then finally that special magic summer. I had the honour of visiting Expo twice and I can even still remember the dates. September 29th and October 13th 1967. I was 12 years old. Those two days changed my life. They taught me to dream and realise that anything was possible. A 12 year old boy saw the world spread out before my eyes. The excitement, the crowds, the sights, the sounds and I was there and saw it all. The video you produced is just a great memory for me to relive those days. THANK YOU.
I was almost 12 years old during Expo. Like you, I was amazed every time I went there. It truly was another world. My dad had a season passport and so we were there every weekend. And then when he was on his vacation from work we were there 4 or 5 days a week for the whole month of August. My dad and I were there on the last day before it closed. Even at that age I felt a sense of sadness knowing that one of the best summers of my life was coming to an end. Thank you for posting this. It truly brought many great memories.
I was 15 when our family went. We took the Metro from the southside of the river and when we got off it was like going to Disneyland. My brother and I would try our best to get our passports stamped as many times as possible. Great memories for Me, thanks for sharing your memories and photos.
I was take. To Expo67 by my mom, I was 8-1/2 years old, we lived in a small village in Ontario, this was seeing the world for the first time, amazing, I am so grateful. Montreal is still a world class city, love visiting.

even their tacky jingle bellows those damn 'hallmarks' of Corporateria's .. I mean, do you reckon these neo-feudally cleptoparasitic barons could've ever got away with launching COVID-67..? 🌬brrrRrr🌬

Merci beaucoup de ce partage. Je n'étais pas née à ce moment-là, mais ma mère et m'ont père m'en ont aussi parlé avec énormément d'enthousiasme

Thank you so much and thanks to your mother for her memories. She describes exactly what I remember. The best summer of my life.
A wonderful shared memory.

Shame, time machines don't exist. Expo 67 would be worth the risk.
I was 14 when my family went to expo 67, I still recall the buildings and pavilions and travelled by metro to thevislans
Great video, thank you!

Montreal's finest hour.
The Olympics were a bust but Expo definitely was Montreal's finest hour.
The last good year , before Montreal died .

My parents where there and had a great time. I was born 9 months later! 😆
I was 9 years old, I still have my passport.
I was there!!
Man & His World was the moniker that triumphed though, as the gushing over its establishment had been merely momentary, you see
It wasn't the balade... it was the monorail that gave the aerial view. They took the last remaining one out of La Ronde just a few years ago.
... the "Minirail... (from Switzerland)
@@abrahamdozer6273 Yes, you're right! The minirail!
Don't forget the corruption around the fair and the infamous Jean Drapeau.

Confused.
I'm suprised that no one has accused the Markles of wrecking it.
I WAS THERE AGED 9.
IT WAS GREAT.
