That collection is awesome. I’ve been collecting mangas for six years, and even much, much longer because I started getting them for the first time in 2011 when a friend gave me a Naruto manga. As far as my collection now, I have all of Naruto, all the current volumes of Boruto, all of Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, all the current omnibuses of One Piece, a few volumes of Bleach, all of Yu Yu Hakusho, all the currently made volumes of Hunter x Hunter, every single Yu-Gi-Oh! volume as well as all the spin-off mangas of it, I’m working on finishing Rurouni Kenshin, I have all the current ones for My Hero Academia, One-Punch Man, all of Dr. Stone, Food Wars, Assassination Classroom, Demon Slayer, The Promised Neverland, some of Jujutsu Kaisen, Slam Dunk, Haikyu, D.Gray-Man, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, Kaiju No. 8, Shaman King, Toriko, Gintama, Blue Exorcist, Undead Unluck, all of the current volumes of Black Clover, all of Death Note, the first volumes of all the JoJo parts so far, some of Inuyasha and Yashahime, some of Black Lagoon, all of Fairy Tail, The Seven Deadly Sins, as well as all the Colossal Editions of Attack On Titan and all the Deluxe Editions of Berserk. I’m hoping to get a box set for Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul: Re. A good amount of these were hard to get since some weren’t sold where I am, I had to order some series from America like Yu Yu Hakusho, Shaman King, Toriko and Gintama. I like to have all my Shonen Jump mangas together and I personally prefer getting omnibus versions of manga so a lot of the ones I listed are in 3 in 1 omnibus editions. I wish a lot more had omnibuses, but I’m still super happy with my collection and can’t wait to get more.
I feel like a lot of manga collectors who have been collecting for a long time all have a special place in their heart for Kodocha. It’s my childhood favourite series too, I’m super glad young me collected the series before it went out of print ❤
Orange is supposed to have another volume publish this March, I believe. Marmalade Boy is getting an omnibus that is releasing this year! CMX, an imprint that was under DC Comics, went defunct in 2010. They initially published Emma back in the day! Maidsama and Skip Beat omnis recently went through reprints, so it should be easier to find and complete, especially on Right Stuf. What a fantastic library tour!

The new setup looks so bright , your collection is closer to library now 😊 P.S- karekano is like a pioneer shoujo to me that introduced so many themes in shoujo manga unlike others. All the other mangas that later came about dual personalities and inner conflicts ( horimiya for examples) kind of felt like a shadow of kare kano. Karenkano delves much deeper, deals with family issues and meaning of parenthood better than many mangas. I read it many years ago online so would definitely like to read again given chance😊

I actually ended up picking the series up a few years back from one of your 'what I've been reading' videos and I've been picking up every new volume ever since! it is so cute and fluffy and with the type of manga you have in your collection I have no doubt that you'd enjoy the rest of it as well!

screaming to keep collecting Sayonara Football, no one ever talks about it and it's a fucking awesome soccer series, I find it a little hard to keep track of what character is what but it's still a great series, I haven't read it all yet but volumes are still coming out for it iirc

the chinese collecting is so real. I've been wanting to collect Haikyuu!! for a while (in English) but just didn't get around to placing the orders yet. And then I went to Taiwan and found most of the volumes at Eslite for 100 NTD each (about $3 per volume) and that's literally half price off rightstuf's cheapest price T.T I couldn't help it and had my mom help me lug everything back in her massive suitcase. In my head I thought maybe they might fit with my single english vol, and literally the chinese ones are so tiny. (I was originally naively planning on ordering 21-45 in English.) I'm committing to ordering the rest in Chinese too lmao at this point. Bc English is so expensive. Maybe if they publish the Shueisha jump remix versions in English. I struggle with reading traditional Chinese RIP.
Love your collection. The Ultra Manica manga is so cute. Karen Kano is so hard to collection now. I'm so close to have in the complete collection. It was too bad that Tokyopop shut their US office down for a bunch of years. It has made it hard to collect their series since most are now out of print. If you enjoy food series, then I recommend Restaurant to another world, but I have to warn you that the dragons aren't something someone of a younger age should see.

The only reason why age gaps are still kinda accepted is because it still exists and can be seen a lot. It doesn't have the same reputation as something like pedophilia, which is in most cases way more problematic, but when it comes to an extreme age gap, like when a 20 year old guy/girl is dating a 16 year old guy/girl. Or a 70 year old man/woman being with a 40 year old man/woman.
i feel the same !! I think when I was trying out different series, I just went along with what other people recommended and tried to give myself a bit of time to read and process to see if i liked it!! but speaking one year later, ive learned that age gap romance makes me pretty uncomfortable! for the underage age gap ones, i completely don’t touch them or recommend them at all now :,)

The guy who initially had feelings for his step sister falls in love with her best friend and the step sister gets together with the childhood friend of her bestie. So there is no "pseudo incest" endgame if that's what you're worried about.

Heads up about Gakuen Alice- I love the series but I unhauled mine because it can't be completed in English. It wasn't fully released when Tokyopop went under in 2011 and even though Tokyopop has made a comeback I haven't seen any plans to reprint the titles that were dropped at that time. I haven't seen anyone else pick up the licensing for it either so I don't think Gakuen Alice is going to be reprinted/completed in English.
Was eating spaghetti and meatballs with a soda while watching this epic manga collection video. I've seen the Garden of words anime. I didn't get it then i saw it a second time. And was like oh he's in love with the teacher. Eahhh My sister owns vol 1 of Sailor Moon. I was lookin at the other vols on rightstufanime last year vol last 1 to 4 are no longer available to purchase. I don't know if they are going out of print. Vol 7 to 12 are still available.
Someone help I've been wanting to collect manga for the longest time but i just don't know which to collect because I dont want to get bored of it or have a super long series in which i have to collect each and every one of them- any recommendations? (idm and genre as long as its not horror) Something not very long and super engaging would be perfect :)
I feel like that would depend on what sort of collection you want. I just started, but wanted to have a small collection of series I could read at the end of the day to wind down. Thus I went for slice of life series that I can see myself rereading. Are you wanting to get into new series with collecting, or are you wanting to have an archive to reread? Also how much do you want to invest both time and money (Ps. Wotakoi has been a super cute and is 7 volumes, so that's my vote, also ongoing crossplay love:otaku x punk has been a favorite recently)

My sister owns vol 1 of Sailor Moon. I was lookin at the other vols on rightstufanime last year vol last 1 to 4 are no longer available to purchase. I don't know if they are going out of print. Vol 7 to 12 are still available.
Someone help I've been wanting to collect manga for the longest time but i just don't know which to collect because I dont want to get bored of it or have a super long series in which i have to collect each and every one of them- any recommendations? (idm and genre as long as its not horror) Something not very long and super engaging would be perfect :)
I feel like that would depend on what sort of collection you want. I just started, but wanted to have a small collection of series I could read at the end of the day to wind down. Thus I went for slice of life series that I can see myself rereading. Are you wanting to get into new series with collecting, or are you wanting to have an archive to reread? Also how much do you want to invest both time and money (Ps. Wotakoi has been a super cute and is 7 volumes, so that's my vote, also ongoing crossplay love:otaku x punk has been a favorite recently)
Ahh I can't edit, to add: I start reading series online first to get a gist of what I'm getting into and if it's worth for me to invest
