Jacob and Co have even stated their watches aren’t meant to compete with the likes of Rolex, Omega, or AP but they’re meant to be viewed as unique artistic timepieces. If you look at their catalogue, they barely have any watches that look alike and that’s because nothing is mass produced. It’s a sign of wealth, craftsmanship, and watch engineering.

It’s not the engineering that’s the problem, so much as the designs. No doubt talented and highly skilled craftsmen worked on these, but the final product is arguably too gaudy and tacky to fully appreciate.
