I made NSMBW but the Floor is Lava. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is part of the New Super Mario Bros. series alongside New Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros. 2, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. By modding the game, I get access to more assets than in Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2 and can create the worst troll/little timmy levels in the world. You may have seen "The Floor is Lava" challenge on TikTok or in games like Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros. U, or Bowser's Fury. This is my take on the challenge using New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Love to see floor is lava mods. The creative problem solving required to beat them is always fun to watch
I love it when Mayro is talking, dies, and the video just wordlessly cuts to the next take.
While I really like the way you redesigned the levels to make them somewhat playable casually, I would have also really loved to see if the game was beatable with little to no changes at all other than a constant lava ground. That would have meant having to use the propeller helmet, tiny mushroom or maybe even really fancy tools like sliding on a frozen enemy by using the ice flower. I'm sure there would also be levels that are absolutely impossible to beat, but I'd really love to see how far you can possible get like that.
Yeah I see where you're coming from, but since it's already quite arbitrary where to set down the lava in the first place, I thought I may as well make other changes.

But if you ever do something like this again, maybe you can turn this into a Smallant-like challenge where the video is about "can i somehow beat this game under some modded condition?". But if you prefer your own style of editing the whole game, thats perfectly fine too!

Anyways, this is some good work. There were some parts in those levels that had some really sadistic stuff to it where I was thinking "Is this Nightmare Mario Wii?"
for nightmare what if you made a level designed around repeatedly entering and exiting pipes for like 10 straight minutes and end with an rng element so you have a 50% or so chance to have to restart

I think it's very cool that Floor is Lava is not only possible to do in NSMBU but also in NSMBW. It would likely require a big amount of work to add lava to every single level but so far this mod already looks amazing.

I remember as a kid I would always confuse the quicksand in world 2 with lava, so I'd be more than happy to see a world 2 video!
This is a pretty neat idea that i weirdly enough havent seen before really, dispite the floor being lava being a sorta common idea

3:42 I'm not sure why but hammer bros need solid ground that isn't either question/brick blocks or a semisolid below them to spawn, if you put them on a semisolid or blocks above a bottomless pit they won't spawn

@@MayroSMM Just use the “Hammer Bros For Platforms(?)” sprite and then they will work without question/brick blocks and semisolids. Also don’t use them with question/brick blocks or they will get stuck inside the block
