It is so, so good to see you! I have been thinking of you, so I was delighted to see your podcast pop up. It is because of your giving spirit that so many people want to give to you. I hope that crafting and your loved ones and friends will be comforting. I really like your holiday card display idea-it is a two for, decoration and a place to show your cards, instead of putting them in a basket as we do. Get lots of rest and absorb all of the healing energy and love being sent your way. See you soon!❤
Hello lovely Lesley, oh it's good to see you! Adore the braille hat, well all of the hats really. I think of you often, wishing the coming months to be kind to you. ❤

Hi Brenda - yes, they often drive us mad, but where would we be without them (not that I'll tell him that, of course! Hope you are going along well - I will be in touch soon, I promise. xx
Wow,I sent you an email last night and there you are today! Breast cancer survivor here, was fortunate not to need Chemo just 16 bouts of radiation. God bless all of you going through treatments and Lesley take all the time you need,we'll be here.❤
Hello Leslie. Lovely to see you, as usual and all the things you have been up to. I have a little advice on the nose bleeds, you may already know this already. My husband has some doosies, because he is on blood thinners. The one thing that helps him a lot is ice. I grind it up for him and munches on spoonfuls till things slow down. Cold compress on the back of the neck help as well. You might want to take a thermos of ice with you so you don't get caught short again. It's also a good excuse to keep ice lollies in the freezer. Wishing you all the best for your next round of treatment.
My dear beautiful Leasley, I was sorry you are having such a rough time, wish I could take your pain away. It was lovely to see your cheerful face, and hear your voice. Seeing your well behaved Heidi makes me smile, I have a 9 week old puppy, my my treading in poo is no fun. Time will pass and you will improve and soo will my naughty puppy. 😘🥰🫶🇦🇺

Big hug from me to you from San Diego!
So good to see you and get a catch up. You’re looking great btw. Sending you all the love on the upcoming chemo. My mom breezed through her chemo so I hope you are as fortunate.
Hi, no need for an answer! Sending kind thoughts and just do as your told and rest whenever needed! 🎉 Use your potty mouth whenever you need too. Always makes me feel better even if its said silently in my head! 🤣🤣 ❤
Hi Sherry - you'd be shocked if I used my potty mouth - I'm not afraid of the four letters! And you're right - it does make us feel better. Hope all is well with you xx Thanks and take care xx
I’m so sorry you’re having to do treatments ! 2022 I had rectal cancer and did 5 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy (2 liquid and pills the rest of the time). I survived and I know you will ! Prayers galore.❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you for sharing Leslie and I am so glad there was a kind lad y handy to offer assistance. Thinking of you a lot and sending loving and healing thoughts your way. Cheers from Minnesota. Sorry to learn about the side effects Leslie, but good that you are much better today. The hats you made are beautiful, and you gave me such a giggle when you started talking about the last hat. Good to see you! Sorry your nosebleed kept you from a fun activity. Hopefully that will not become a usual reaction to treatment for you. All good wishes to you from Ohio, USA.❤🙏
Hi Les, take it easy, count down those treatments. Its horrible but you'll get there - shock for me was bone ache from paclitaxol, and correct rest is the answer. Big gentle hugs xxx
Leslie, you and I, having made countless items for others, really get it when someone knits or crochets something for us. It feels like Love! All the best as you continue to heal. x x x
Hi Lesley. Just found your podcast the other month. It’s super. I love your humour and attitude to life. I like to use humour to deal with life t Have you/ are you a teacher or done any acting. Definitely you remind me of someone who would be very good. I wish you all the best in your treatment journey. Again no reply needed. Look forward to next month
Thanks Fiona - lovely to have you here. I have done a bit of amateur dramatics in the past, which was a lot of fun. I've never been a teacher, but have usually ended up training colleagues in whatever job I have done - I guess it's the need to speak! Hope all is well with you and thanks for finding me. xx
@ could I ask a quick question. Mum is 91 and been knitting hats and scarfs for charity. First lot to homeless next to hospital for those in need at discharge. We thought after your video to see about giving the hats to the chemo unit at hospital. She uses acrylic wool for cost and ease of washing for recipient. Insists on very soft yarn much has been returned ! Would that be ok as I know you said about very sensitive heads x
@fionaskolsky560 Hi. I am no expert, but that sounds like great idea. My unit has a box of hats where folks can help themselves, so they will be able to choose the softness and warmth level that suits them best. I'm sure the recipients will be very grateful xx
Another lovely video. I particularly liked the hats you’ve created. I was bald on top going into chemo so I appreciate a nice warm cap. I greatly enjoyed your use of braille to convey the “F” word. Reminded me of Major Alexis Casdagli, born in Greece and emigrated to England. With the outbreak of WWII he enlisted in the British Army, was captured by the Germans and was a prisoner of war for several years. A talented embroiderer, he cross stitched a sampler using whatever fabrics and threads he could find which he hung on the walls of several prisons in which he was captive. He incorporated the swastika in it which probably pleased the Germans. But on one of the borders he stitched a number of dots and lines which were in keeping with the design. Yep, it was Morse Code for “God Save the King” and “F - - - Hitler.” His captors never twigged. His diary was later turned into a published book.
For all those who are in chemo or still have to, I'm thinking of you ❣️ I'm off it myself and know it was hell, but don't forget, when everything is over and the cancer is gone, you can enjoy life again. I still have a few residual symptoms, but I can live with them. It helped me mentally by thinking about the nice things I can do again afterwards, such as knitting and gardening. My family and my parents also helped me through it, but unfortunately my parents died at the end of my chemo.😢 I wish you all a lot of strength, and no matter how difficult it is, stay positive and think about nice things. One day it will be over. Lovely greetings Lily🌸
Hi Lesley. Really good to see you. I made a hat for my daughter’s partner. Pattern on ravelry by Pam Gabriel. It has the F word all over it. He loves it and wears it on site where there are only adults 🙈 although most kids these days are use to hearing it on tv and in music 😵💫. I’m sorry i didn’t get round to entering the mal. I had all good intentions and then forgot 🙈🙈. The nose bleed knocked you quite a bit by sound of it. Thank goodness himself was with you. I vaguely remember my grandmother having chemo. She would get v tired but i wasn’t aware of her other side effects. I was about 16/17 at the time. Typical teenage going through life with blinkers on 🙄. Hope you take the rest you need, when you need it and don’t try and do too much. Take good care of yourself xx
the hats you made are fabulous. also the squares which will become an interesting blankie. Benta (sp?) has treated you very well hope the side-effects don't continue to be nasty and annoying keep taking care xxxxxxx
Good to see you. Been missing your humor. Not quite enough Lesley❤

Have you/ are you a teacher or done any acting.
Always a pleasure to hangout with you 🤗💕
Another lovely video.
Ah, there you are :) So good to see you!
For all those who are in chemo or still have to, I'm thinking of you ❣️
I'm off it myself and know it was hell, but don't forget, when everything is over and the cancer is gone, you can enjoy life again.
I still have a few residual symptoms, but I can live with them.
It helped me mentally by thinking about the nice things I can do again afterwards, such as knitting and gardening.
My family and my parents also helped me through it, but unfortunately my parents died at the end of my chemo.😢
I wish you all a lot of strength, and no matter how difficult it is, stay positive and think about nice things.
One day it will be over.
Lovely greetings Lily🌸
Signature move is fine!
Love you
