I was reading comments the day after he was eliminated...people were saying I voted for Ripley and "this person" which is why he went home. First, giving the public unlimited votes is ridiculous. Second, splitting votes is the perfect way to send your favorite or the front-runner home. Only one person can win, so why not pick one and put all your votes on them. I ✨REALLY✨ wanted to hear Ripley sing an original song or something from The Beatles or Joni Mitchell. And if you did not vote for him because you thought he would be safe...they are not safe until they win!
His vocal stylings are so unique and signature to his heartbreak personna.... his sound and vibe is current and yet he exudes an old soul, transcending generational genres and audiences. With a little fine tuning and coaching on stage presence and movement, he is surely a full-package artist! He deserves the top spot as Australia's Idol
