I'm surprised opponent conceded to Emrakul in that Yorion game. The Emrakul was going to enter play tapped so unless they had something to prevent Yorion from attacking in hand all you were going to be able to do was chump attack the Soulherder and then they swing for lethal with Yorion next turn.
Dash is a method of casting the card. Deveri is just a creature ability that can be used from the command zone. Which is really dumb because it can just be used whenever at instant speed with no tax on it.

Yes. Dash is an alternate way to cast a spell, but Derevi's ability simply puts the card directly into play.
