God reminded me of this song when I learned that my mom had stage 4 breast cancer. I started singing this song and realized that He IS GOOD no matter what. My mom passed away last month and I can still stay that God is a good Father. He is GOOD in every season of our life.

I understand your pain. My father has Alzheimer's and half the Time he doesn't know who I am!! It's a horrible disease!! I've lost my step mom 3 years ago and my mom 6 years!! And I am only 27 but God has blessed me a lot!! I've struggled with a lot in life and with major depression to the point of wanting to not be here on this earth!! But since I've meet the love of my life he's changed me so much!!!

HI, so just to help clarify something, the Father does not "take the form of Jesus." The Father, Son & Holy Spirit have always been and will always be 3 persons. There is a distinction in their personhood. One does not, indeed, cannot become the other. The Father's love for us (the world) is so great that he GAVE, as he has always done. In this case, he gave up his Son, whom the world (represented by Israel, who were to be God's nation of priests to the rest of the world) rejected (this was done most prominently by the leaders of Israel, who represent the whole nation) Jesus. As a result, all the more the Father's love in that he gave his only Son, who not only wasn't received as the gift He is, but also was even rejected, to the point of death! What a sacrificial gift the Father gave to us, though not wanting it, he still knew what would happen. Hope this helps.

But the difference is, I find that God sends me to your music when things are really dark for me. He sends me to your music when I need consolation and strength. I don't think it a coincidence that when I'm straying from God I found this song in the most unlikely of places, God forgives all of us and dosn't want to harm us to show us our wrongs. Some people like me have this large internal conflict such as with porn or another type of sin, and I know I can't blame anyone else but me for putting myself on this hot lava, but God knows that I want to listen and love him, but a barrier that I've unwittingly created is blocking the path and I need to break it down and God is more than happy to assist me. Another great hit from my Texas Home Boy! What an awesome ability to convey such a simple truth and yet make it sound like such a new revelation - when it really isn't. Once again, Chris Tomlin lifts up the hearts of the collective body of Christ to encourage us and help us realize that God is close......closer than we all tend to think. And God cares and He provides. It doesn't usually happen the way we want, but because God is "perfect in all of your ways", its ALWAYS the right thing at the right time. Thank you Father for such a great gifting of Chris Tomlin and his band, and for their willingness to share it with the rest of us, in order for you to be further glorified and praised as you should be.
