A lighter solves the nylon and enamel issue. Then some solor coded enamel paint as a fist stage insulator. And then one heat shrink tube. For the strain relief I leave a little loop in the wires and a spring from a clicky pen with about 1/4-1/8 inch under the shrink tube. Gives the wire some flexible structure right at the plug.
I don't have experience soldering. What kind should I use? the type that comes with sticks of extra metal? or do I just use the heating element to melt the wire to the connections?
In case anyone wondered, the big one is the ground and for the brown cable(there could be 2 brown cables for mic ones), where do i connect the red, blue and green ones?, well there are 3 smaller pins, left one for blue, middle one for green (microphone) and right one for the red cable.
Could you provide a link to the new plugy-in-y thingy that you used to replace the one that fell off? (I think it's called the jack or the male connector or something but idk so you'll have to excuse my lack of vocabulary lol)
You can get 3(TRS) or 4(TRRS) pole 3.5mm jacks off eBay, Amazon, wish, AliExpress it really doesn't matter and they are cheap as hell no matter where you look. Unless you start going for ones in full metal or with little extras or anodizing. I got a pack of 10 plastic ones for $3 off wish and a pack of 5 metal anodized ones for $6 on Amazon. They work great. Started using the cheap ones to fix kids headphones and the metal ones for my gaming headset. Best part is if it does again unscrew, desolder, cut, resolder, and screw it back together. Do it too many times and you desolder the headset and the jack and add a new wire.
Not a very good video. Too blurry and not enough informative repair seen. Lots of rustling around and movements to confuse the viewer. Speak slower, keep the camera still and focus on the repair, not the knowledge which is never understood by the viewer. Sorry, but it's true. Actually, the video did NOT show the soldering job, not what wires need to go where including the ground wire. Not helpful if all is omitted. Making a video means instruction, not just happy or unhappy with job. Sorry.

I exactly need that 3.5 mm connector jack with holes in connections for ground, right and left speaker wire. Tell me the proper name for it and so that i can buy few of it in the market ?
I have been googling for 3 days now untill my eyes turned square. I thought lets find somebody online and ask. Can I use a 4 pole connector extention cable for a 3 pole device like my phone and headset with build in mic? I am looking for a 3 pole 3.5mm jack extention 5 M but they dont seem to exsist :/

3.5mm 4 pole stereo plug. If your headphones do not have a microphone then 3.5mm 3 pole stereo plug will do.

Not showing how you soldered, what goes to what... which is why I came looking here
You skipped over one of the most important parts, the soldering and shrink tube….
What cable do you use?
Does anyone know if you can replace a two ringed headphone plug with one that has three rings?
Useless video , what wires go where?
You didn't show us a damn thing. SMFH
what do u need to know?
@@syldekker4571 what color wires go to what sides of the jack?
@@johndaarteest Try googling "3.5mm jack wiring diagram" to answer your question. Hopefully you'll find an image that matches your specific jack!
@@syldekker4571 OK thank you.
