- Visiting Wisconsin Dells doesn't have to be expensive! Try camping there! Rocky Arbor State Park is a great place to camp, and it's only a 5 minute drive from all of the attractions at the Dells. In this video, you'll see our recent camping trip to Rocky Arbor and all there is to do there. We even take you on a little hike to see some awesome rock formations! We also show you a little taste of what there is to do in the Dells, including our Dells Boat Tour. Our kitties, Snuggles and Little Lady join us on this camping trip too!

Growing up in Iowa, I spent a fair amount of time camping in Wisconsin. I loved hiking in the woods & all the rock formations. Looks like you had fun!

What a Wonderful way to start my Monday morning. Beautiful scenery and music. I spent the first 38 years of my life in Northern Illinois, and I ❤ Wisconsin. My best friend lives in Eau Claire and Steve grew up in Rhinelander. On our last trip together to his family reunion in 2018, we stopped in the Dells just to ride the Wisconsin Ducks through the beautiful canyons. It was Steve's first time. Another Wonderful memory for us. We were tent campers. 🏕 Have you ever been to Governor Dodge State Park, by the House on the Rock? One of Frank Lloyd Wright's amazing creations.
Your dinner looked Delicious with that fresh sweet corn. 😋 I miss the Midwest, especially lilacs and rhubarb, but Not the snow. How old was your Snuggles when you started her on the harness? Very Cool. I have 2 cats, Riley and Cookie. 🐈 💕 🐈.
Oh, that’s so awesome, Mary! I’m glad this video helps start your day in a fun way. That’s amazing that you know Wisconsin, and that you grew up in northern Illinois! Steve grew up in Rhinelander!? That is such a beautiful area as well! 🤗 Ron actually got his pick up truck there. We lived up near Bayfield for a time. You know, we have never done the ducks in the Dells! I’m going to put that on my wish list for next time we are going through there. That’s great that you and Steve got to ride them.
We haven’t been to Governor Dodge State Park either, but will add that one to our list as well! We have heard of the House on the Rock. We’re hoping to eventually travel in the summers in our travel trailer, but probably not this year. Lilacs and rhubarb are really good! I’m sure I will kind of miss those as well. Or maybe we’ll have to make a spring trip up that way sometime.
We actually started Snuggles on his harness and leash He was only about six months old. It works much better that way! Our other cat hates the harness, as we didn’t get her until she was a year old. I would love to be able to see your Riley and Cookie! They sure make life fun, don’t they? 😻😻
I live in the Midwest- in Michigan- and I miss the snow too! Climate change is real.
The snow can be pretty, that’s for sure! We hope to eventually be able to enjoy snow over the holidays if we go back to Minnesota to see family. It sounds like you haven’t gotten much snow up there this year at all. Very strange. ❄️
