I’m ngl as a Mavs fan i was skeptical of Kidd early in the season esp after the 17-18 start but seeing how much our defense has improved and the culture has changed. I think he should have been in coy consideration.
I was impressed because there were 11 players out with covid and Luka with two ankle injuries, followed by covid. Getting out of that around .500 early in the season was a lot better than most rosters could achieve
I consider Kidd the smartest player ever. He is transitioning into one of the best coaches in the league. He has brought Josh green along. He and Luka are jelling.
I was confused on how he wasn’t in consideration for it. Sadly the top three in consideration are understandably in front of him. I can’t remember the three aside from PHO coach.

I would of benched Green, but he gave him confidence and sent him back out there, and what a game he had. That's why I'm not a coach, and he's pulling all the right strings. Bravo!
Coach JKidd should study the Jazz when they go small for the first time in this series during the 3rd cause they where able to score easily and make the game closer. I believe they're going to do this next game and adjust.
Agree we will need to be better against that small lineup, but I think with Luka coming back will be our adjustment. Can't play small against Luka, he'll lob to DP.
I was never skeptical of Kidd Nico hiring and for that matter the kp trade. These guys came in and gave this TEAM what they needed that RC could no longer provide.
I have to definitely eat my words from earlier when Kidd was brought in. Thought it was a bad move (basically I soured on him ever since the fake spill drink move). But he has been great for this team. They are definitely united as a squad and that is the reason they are up 2-1 in these series and an advantage they have over Utah, clearly.

Coaches are not so different from players, they also do get better when they gain more experience.
Brilliant chemistry. I can clearly see Josh's mindset changed right from the beginning of the 3rd game. Team work.
We really need Luka if they are gonna pull out the small ball line up they tried in the third quarter.
KP trade is actually Kidd's decision. He knows KP is not a good fit in this offense

That's funny. I was down on Kidd as HC too. However, the spilled drink move was brilliant. Getting a timeout without using one? Epic.
