Not a bad truck but I use the Fleetstar atm. When upgraded the GMC is a good truck. Now it hardly can cross any mud. I do try to make it hard loool. Upgrades are better than expected on the fleetstar. Doing the hard mode without any upgrades is not really possible lool. I know, I tried it 🙂
@nichegaming822 Oh no, i am not getting frustrated with it. I am just insane. Make it hard, lol. Love the new game mode + as it's much harder as hard mode, lol. 6x prices on trucks, etc. It's fun, but the problem I have now is that I have never played beyond the Michigan map yet. Yes, I suck hard but getting better at it. Hard mode is already brutal. One mistake can cost a fortune in fuel or cash, but hey, as long as it's fun, go for it. Good luck!
i think i dumped this truck in the river once because it pissed me off. i brought out a different truck and just craned it off the bridge between the dam and quarry into the river. 😂 every time i went back and forth id be like "yeah fk you you piece of trash". 😂😂 never mind it was my fault for driving it off the side of the bridge in the first place. hey, dont let the facts get in the way of a good time.
Yeah, we all have our experiences from when we were learning about this game. 😄 But when you get serious about making progress in this game, then you make the most of what you get, and from that perspective, this truck is a gold mine.

I've been saying since the game came out that the GMC is very overlooked. Even without the AWD upgrade it can handle most long hauls in Michigan and Alaska. By the time you get to Taymyr it's stiff suspension becomes the weak point and it just becomes too unstable. I don't find fuel consumption an issue because it gobbles up paved and dirt road miles with minimal effort, especially once you max out tires, engine, and install the highway transmission. Put it in high gear and send it.
I play on hardmode and I sold this truck due to not having the upgrades unlocked. I may buy it back as I'm looking for a fuel truck, would the GMC or white western star be best as a fuel truck?
In my opinion, if you're going to play on HARD MODE, since this truck does get its upgrades, you may want to turn your fleet into a scouting company to start with and get all of the upgrades of all regions, or at least until Kola peninsula. Once you have the necessary upgrades and have a high enough ranking, you can then do all of the upgrading necessary for the trucks you get free to build up your fleet and start completing tasks, starting with Michigan. This is one strategy. The Fleetstar would be a better fuel carrier, but the GMC MH9500 would be fine if you aren't going to get its upgrades. As for the White Western Star 4964, since you get its upgrades in Michigan, it would be beyond silly to waste such a superior hauling heavy-duty truck as a fuel carrier. If you must use that truck to move fuel carriers, then equip it with a low saddle and use to transport the large 3700 L fuel carriers, not a simple 1800L internal addon. This game is fun but don't play on Xbox series x.. After I unlocked the Wheeled tank can't remember the name Tuz I think anyways it just keeps crashing to home screen and no mods running probably way better on pc
I couldn't say anything about the Xbox series version since I have never played it on that system. I do know that I would much rather play on PC, Steam, and get the DLCs I want. And for me, that goes for all of my gaming, not just for SnowRunner; if there is a game that starts out on the other platforms, then I wait until it gets a PC port.

Easily my favorite truck in the game. Versatile, economical, capable enough. Together with GMC 8000 is my main truck.

It's a very solid truck that just feels good to drive and is worth jumping ahead in the maps to find the AWD and locker upgrades before going back.

Yeah, that's why I really like my New Game+ rules. Check that video out if you're getting too frustrated with the Hard Mode.

Yup, definitely my go-to truck for the first half of Michigan, which really builds the foundation of your company in this trucking simulation.
